Bio: Cortel is a very happy person. Although she loves all things violent, dark, scary and mysterious she's a very happy-go-lucky person who will bring a smile upon your face. She loves socializing and has a natural knack for getting to know people and having them feel welcomed, hence her profession. She recently took on the job officially but she has been welcoming new neighbors for as long as she can remember. Because Cortel loves scary things, she loves adventure as well. Anything that will get her blood flowing and or get her out of her comfort zone gives her lots of joy, but often when things are breaking rules or puts her in real danger she becomes afraid. Cortel is a good girl at heart, even though he likes darker things, and if you break the rules or if someone does something wrong she'll try to make it right. Because she is so social and a total extrovert, she often finds herself needing to be with others at all times. This got her a lot into the afterlife and ghosts so she never feels alone. Cortel cam see ghosts and spirits and believes she can contact them. This fascinates her a ton, so she'll often talk a lot about it with others to the point where it's a bit annoying.

But if you don't feel like reading all of that x'D Basically, Cortel fell in love with Jackson, while Bringsa was also in love with him. Bringsa then went to a witch, Majo, and wished for a potion that would make her feel no love so she wouldn't have to feel pain. But, the witch tricked her and actually gave her a potion that would turn her into a mute demon-like creature. Bringsa came to Beachside (no memories other than her love for Jackson) and it terrified all the people. Cortel saw this and realized what she had caused. She ran to the witch and begged her to make the village forget about the terrors of Bringsa so that the villagers wouldn't be afraid, would be angry at Cortel, and so the kingdom wouldn't go into a panic. Majo agreed, because she didn't want to get in trouble with the kingdom, for she was one of the last witches left in the kingdom. They ran to the village and casted a spell that would make everyone forget about Bringsa's entire existence but Jackson was in the next town over so he wasn't affected. Cortel lost her love and her friend, so she forever feels the guilt of what she has done.

House: It's made of various woods like bamboo, birch, and palm, but is mostly made from stone unlike other homes in the village. Larger compared to other homes and is more of a house structure than the popular huts. Unlike most, she has actual windows but instead of doors she has just a frame with mostly strings of different colored beads or curtains in their place. Lighting is mostly by candles, oil lamps, or natural window light. She spends most of her time in the kitchen, the backyard garden, or the attic that she transformed into a library and spiritual practicing place.
