Description
Imperial jumptrooper were specialized stormtroopers utilized by the Galactic Empire prior to and during the Galactic Civil War.

Equipped with a jump pack, they could suspend themselves in the air or maneuver through open space. They served several roles in combat, from being used to bound over walls to attack enemy fortifications directly, to aerial drops intended on attacking otherwise untouchable enemy positions and could also operated in the vacuum of space.

They adorned specialized armor with tubes connecting the pack and a distinctively different helmet, whereby the jumptrooper armor could withstand the vacuum of space. The jumptrooper commanders worn yellow left shoulder armor pieces with Imperial insignia to distinguish themselves from their units.

Quick, agile and precise, they were well suited for guerilla warfare. With the company of standard infratry, this unit proved to be extremely effective against the rebel hit-and-run tactics.
