FA-191f | Redheart, 13" | Completed October 2015 | Handcarved with whittling knives and palm gouges

This wand was commissioned by Filipa A. The rosebud on the pommel was carved by hand, and the area between the handle and shaft is slightly burned. The shaft features three claw marks, as if the wizard had a run-in with a dangerous magical creature. The runes on the handle read "But he who dares not grasp the thorn | Should never crave the rose | For pain and beauty shall always coexist as one." The whole design is brought together by the stunning natural color of redheart wood.
