Well, I have a headache and this is a wip. It looks terrible, but I don't know. I have to show my work in progress for a contest. Eefvfdgh!! I feel awful, and nervous. ~_~Related content

I just want to let you know devianart keeps trying to delete the icon competition so if something is wrong that's why.....
the reason they're deleting it is because they think it is pay to enter which it is not!
hopefully whatever they deleted didn't make the donation money disappear or there will be no rewards!

Wow, this is really good~
I like how expressive your character's face is as well as the story you've animated. Kinda reminds me of when I get something from ikea~ lol
If I had any critiques it would be that the transitions between the black and white are a bit rough and might need to be smoothed out as to not make the viewer/user dizzy.
There's a lot of potential in this though~ I can't wait to see you next update

Don't worry, I saw the same thing with the transitions, until I add colors and not rush it, it should look more smoothed out.

So basically, what's happening is that you know if you make a mistake, even if it's tiny, it completely ruins the result and you have to start over again.

The last frames show the person missing a screw so the table falls and he looks over the cryptic looking institutions again.

Could I make a suggestion?
Though your animation does speak about the troubles of a programmer. one mistake like a missing screw or semi colon, equals big problems, I worry that perhaps it doesn't clearly identify that connection. In order to resolve any confusion that this animation is about computers, technology or gaming and any other techy thing in general. I suggest you add a computer to the equation.
Perhaps when he is done setting up the table he puts his computer on top it, and then he only notices the missing screw!?
Again I would rather you produce your own vision of art and not feel compelled to follow my opinion and views. I am not an artist and I do not know what effort you would need to make in order to add in those new frames, and how that might impact on your artistic vision
So please, do what you see as fit.
The work in progress is our opportunity as judges to leave our view as well as help artists along to what we may thing is best, but this is your work and your vision and we have yet to see what your end result will be

In the competition journal we speak about what the judges will be looking for and how we will judge your work
In it we speak about animation looping, and yes indeed there is a higher chance of winning the competition if you loop your animation

I think this is alot better than you think it is. Sure it's not done but it's idea is clear and even tho the frames are unfinished they still look like effort was put into making them.
