I like the modern take on the characters outfits. Kind of like how Kora showed time moved forward and advancements in life. Good Work.

I know you won't answer, but I just had to say this for those who are thinking it and too "polite" to say it.......thank you for steering away from that Legend of Korra disaster and train wreck and focusing on Aang and Katara. Personally, I was never the biggest fan of Avatar, but I still enjoyed some of their adventures and thought Aang was so strong for everything he went through. I don't even consider Legend of Korra canon in my eyes anymore, and I'm seeing that some of the fans still left are also shifting focus back to the original show. Thanks for that and the outfits are amazing.

I loved Avatar: The Last Airbender... its a fantastic series. But... as I grow older... Aang is so irresponsible, immature, and likes to 'sound wise' in order to serve his own interests... And that has made it not easy for me to rewatch the series as a result regretfully...
IF you can take it as Aang is a kid and kids do what kids do... then its kinda more realistic in a way... Which is what I try to remind myself. These are all supposed to be older children to early teens... and its a show meant more for that age group as well...
So why do I mention this? Aang looks almost exactly as I would imagine him in the modern world... take that as you like.
I like Katara's outift... she wore* some rather revealing stuff when she was in Fire Nation territory and when she was swimming... and you are going from the 1600s-1700s style cultures, maybe earlier especially in more rural areas, to a 2000s styled culture in the photo above. Morals change!!!

I disagree... Like in the episode "The Great Divide" Aang just straight up makes up a story erasing cultural heritage and memory because he was bothered by the feuding clans... the moral of the story? Lying is wise? That hes too lazy to try to be sensible or actually wise? Or being like "yo, if you all like I can leave you here to fight, but then none of you will survive." But you know... LYING is so much easier I guess? And wiser?
I mean its been... since... hmm... 2009ish since I watched the episodes for any length of time... so more than ten years now... so I can't give you a list of examples I would use to support my position. I have seen the occasional episode off and on since then. But yeah.
I think the episode above shows a kind of selfishness in how he chose to handle it... regarding Katara hes very selfish... and regarding his initial refusal to resume training to be the avatar... and even in how rather than the sensible course of quietly learning to be the avatar he basically goes recklessly into the fray because he feels guilty, thats selfish... especially because hes not prepared.
Hes a kid, sure. Theres lot of things about the story from a realistic/rational perspective doesn't follow... like why was Aang in a giant sphere of ice and why would that of let him survive? Shouldn't of that killed him? I guess there would of been no story then eh?
But what I do like about Avatar: The Last Airbender is that it has a progressive story arc and it doesn't keep resetting... its world building is from within its own universe plausible... having characters that are enjoyable, human, dynamic, developing, and interesting... I do like the series. I just don't like Aang, or at least I think hes the weakest character... Zuko and Iroh are likely the strongest with the most character development...

Modern is one thing, lewd is another. I don't think Katara would wear those cutoffs on a lost bet, not then, not now.
