Why is Snow White sniffing the queen? Does she smell like apple?

I would ADORE more "Evil Queen loves Snow White" art. It's practically impossible to ship them because they were never in the same scene unless the Queen was in her "Hag" form.

seeing that Queen Grimhilde is a step-mum, I'm pretty sure that a lot of step-parents would like relationships more like this.

Wouldn't it suck if like.....Snow white turned out like the Queen when she got older and the cycle of evil vanity continued? O.oΒ

At first, even though I consciously read the word "friendly", I thought that the Queen was wearing her signature scowl here. And I thought to myself that even THOUGH I had percieved her to be looking at Snow White in disgust or hatred or what-have-you, that the picture worked remarkably well. The way that Snow White hangs on to the Queen's cape made me wonder if she was even willing to ignore the queen's hatred of her just so that she could have a mother figure in her life, especially given that this woman was the only such person for the role that she had ever known.
Either way, I think it's a lovely picture. You clearly demonstrated how powerful Β body language can be and that a lot of emotion can be tapped into by simply changing one facial expression on a "villain's" face.

As the queen led the young princess far from the castle, she knew that the mirror's suggestion was indeed the best. Snow White, so innocent, so kind, and so willing to please, followed the queen closer to the forest.
Quite suddenly, Snow White's toe caught upon a rock, or perhaps a bit of up-turned earth, and the young girl pitched forward, grabbing on to her stepmother's robes.
"Careful, my dear!" the queen said, her deep voice sweet and gentle. She smoothed at the princess's raven locks. "You could have hurt yourself. We can't have that, my darling child."
"I'm sorry, Mother," Snow White said softly. Her doe-brown eyes lifted upward and she looked around, taking in how far they had come. "Oh, Mother, how deep will we go in to the forest?"
"Only far enough to find the apple tree, my child. The apples there are sweetest, and I know that you have such a fondness for them."
The princess's red lips turned up in to the most adoring smile, and she wrapped her pale arms around the queen in an embrace.
"I love you so much, Mother."
~Be the mother she always desired~
~The friend to whom she trust and call~
~When you lead her astray, my Queen, ~
~Then YOU shall become the fairest of all~

Wish that she'd do one with PINOCCHIO and *HIS Villains*! (...Did you know that in the ORIGINAL *Carlo Collodi* version of the story, Stromboli AKA 'Fire-Eater' was *ACTUALLY* a rather *NICE/GOOD guy*, if somewhat- okay, MORE *THAN* *somewhat*- temperamental?? Bet *you DIDN'T*-!)

In Disney's version of Snow White, the queen's name is Jezebel X3 not sure if i spelled it right but that's her name ^_^

D8 ...This kinda hurts. I'm sure Snow would have wanted nothing more than a maternal figure in her life. And I really feel Grimhilde would have benefited from having someone love her unconditionally (not because of her beauty).
