It's mostly about drawing teens in comparision, comparition, comparission (Sorry I can't focus when kelly clakson is yalling something about love, heartbeat and kiss on the lips daaaaaamn!!) Once again.
This tutorial is about drawing teens in comparision to adults. But in the end it is always up to the artist how much they want to highlight the differences between adults and teens. Sometimes teens looks more mature then we might expect, especially in anime and adults looks like loli girls. Well please don't do that though.
Teen girls are supposed to be hugged and pat on their round heads, so they don't need huge tits for being kids. And they don't need to be sexual objects either.

Good suggestions; the references for the faces looking in different directions were helpful. My only criticism is that the adult woman's body seems a little unrealistically built, but once again, that may simply be style.

Also the cool thing about teens is that... well sometimes age doesn't even depend at all! It's entirely up to your character design and character in general on the development of the character to. Sometimes 12-14 year olds may start growing.
I actually know a 12 year old in my Taikwondo class who has way more leg than he does the rest of his body and has AMAZING jumping skills. We're all pretty much betting exactly how much taller he'll get in the future. xD

Yeah real life is different from anime style. But great tips overall anyways. I for example am constantly mistaken to be a teenager between 14-17 and I'm 28! Individuals and genetics vairy. Of course overall I'm happy to look and feel younger than I actually am!
