Description Neustift SΓΌdtirol Italy

At the entrance to the monastery complex is the ancient monastery garden, which was reopened after extensive restoration work in the summer of 2004.
Impressive stands out from the back of the garden of the Sequoia and impress right across the centuries-old Gingko Trees. In between, the Baroque garden lined with its beautiful fountains and flower beds a thousand times.

Inviting hang in the autumn, the grapes from the vine down, inviting you to walk through and separates the Baroque garden from the front part of the garden. Among the approximately 75 species that grow in the herb garden, are not only familiar species such as St. John's wort, motherwort, or white clover, but also truly exotic herbs such as lemongrass, melon sage, thyme or Jamaican tobacco.
Also, two historical elements make the garden into something special: the walk-in aviary and the Piszin. In a moat around the Piszin was once farmed fish for human consumption, today it is richly decorated with flowers. A small pond with fish were created near the bird house.
