1. Comfort.

He wakes up feeling the same sense of comfort he used to experience when his mother tucked him in as a child and to his amazement he discovers that it is Mr. Burns covering him with a blanket that caused him such emotions of nostalgia.

2. Kiss.

They were attending a Christmas charity event when they realized they were standing under a bunch of mistletoe and much to their mutual surprise Mr. Burns grasped him by the bowtie and gave him a peck on the cheek

3. Soft.

He wakes up squeezing something soft and cuddly; and when he opens his eyes he is shocked to find that it isn't Bobo that he is hugging but Smithers.

4. Pain.

"Whoever said that paper cut has the worst kind of pain was obviously never run over by a car," Smithers wakes up with a faint smile and for the first time in his life Charles Montgomery Burns starts crying from happiness and relief.

5. Potatoes.

"Eww Smithers you're so gross!" Monty Burns exclaims when he discovers that his assistant likes to dip his chips in vanilla ice-cream.

6. Rain.

"There's always a rainbow after it rains," Waylon Smithers Jr. states wisely and somehow Mr. Burns' morale rises though he still believes this level of optimism is foolish.

7. Chocolate.

"Miss Pheeney said you wouldn't like my present cause I'm a boy," little Waylon whimpers as he rubs the tears away; the heart-shaped chocolate melting in his hands and Mr. Burns sighs, takes the chocolate from him and bites a piece off to prove the old prudish teacher otherwise.

8. Happiness.

Happiness for him is a game of money fight with money crushing on his face, and Smithers', and both of them laughing without a care in the world.

9. Telephone.

At first the constant telephone calls from the old man irritated him; until one day, in the 257th call, he realised that his feelings had transformed from irritation to devotion and love.

10. Ears.

It was so obvious he was smitten – even Smithers' ears appeared cute to him.

11. Name.

In fits of passion and rage 'Smithers' turns to 'Waylon' and 'Sir' to 'Monty' in their vocabulary.

12. Sensual.

Waylon bits his lower lip in concentration as he listens to a client and Mr. Burns is amazed because he finds that serious look so sensual that it is downright sexy.

13. Death.

"Waylon you're my little boy and I love you very much," he says to him tenderly as they watch a film and Waylon finds it awfully sweet, continues watching the movie and does not realise this was Mr. Burns' final departing words to a place with no return.

14. Sex.

"I want to do it with you tonight Waylon," he whispers in his ear, voice hoarse with passion, and the younger man spits his coffee in shock.

15. Touch.

Mr. Burns is burning from fever, his dreams are haunted by images of war and pain, and suddenly he wakes up by a tender cool, tender touch and sees his young assistant staring at him worryingly.

16. Weakness.

He is afraid of Waylon Jr. because heaven forbid someone finds out that this boy is his weakness.

17. Tears.

He is blinded by tears as he speeds away into the night - how could he have been so stupid and blurt everything out?

18. Speed.

Mr. Burns runs after him in panic because Waylon misunderstood; he would never replace him with another assistant, ever!

19. Wind.

The wind is lifting him up, threatening to carry him away but he is not afraid, not when Smithers hand holds him so tightly.

20. Freedom.

He is a captive of Mr. Burns' charm and every time the older man smiles at him he knows his shackles are too difficult to break.

21.Life

He did some crazy things in his life like fighting at World War II and setting up a Power Plant in a town full of incompetent baboons, but to him dating Smithers was one of the craziest decisions he had even taken.

22. Jealousy.

Waylon Smithers Jr. looks at Simpson and his family at the park and as he sees the young woman giggling at the fat man's jokes, he can't suppress the jealousy that consumes him because how could that fat idiot get someone to love him but he couldn't get Mr. Burns to notice him?

23. Hands.

Mr. Burns' hands are wrinkled, bony and so soft, so he can't shake away the opinion that a man with such tender hands cannot be that bad of a person.

24. Taste.

"Oh this is heavenly!" Monty Burns exclaims as he tries the chocolate cream and without thinking he scoops some cream with his index, protrudes it to Smithers and enthusiastically asks him to try it himself.

25. Devotion.

"That boy isn't devoted, he's outright stupid," he hears Adamoplis comment on Smithers and he reflexively punches him because no one is allowed to mock his assistant but him.

26. Forever.

"I'll never leave you sir!" Smithers exclaims hotly, trying to reason his feelings but Mr. Burns bows his head grimly because he cannot so easily take such chances.

27. Blood.

He shoots up from this awful nightmare where he is back in the battlefield and a bomb explodes next to him and he is suddenly holding his comrade that is somehow Smithers who just looks at him with a sad smile and coughs 'I love you' before dying.

28. Sickness.

"Come on, eat your soup Smithers," Mr. Burns orders sternly and when the bed-ridden patients protests that he has no appetite; the old man shoves a spoonful in his mouth.

29. Melody.

All he needs is the known melody from 'The Swing' and Mr. Burns is no longer old – he's young again, jumping around and causes Smithers to awe in amazement.

30. Star.

"If you wish upon a star then your wish might come true," the young woman tells her son tenderly and young Waylon Jr. wishes with all his might to make a new friend soon – a wish that is going to become true in the most unorthodox way.

31.Home.

When Mr. Burns' lips are planted against his own, Smithers lets a sigh of relief as he had been travelling for many years and now he's at home.

32.Confusion.

"I don't understand, I mean you just said you love me didn't you?"

33.Fear.

Charles Montgomery Burns curses as he clenches his fist tightly because there he is, in front of Waylon's apartment, but he cannot stop himself from shivering in fear.

34.Lightning / Thunder.

"I didn't do such a thing!" Waylon protests in embarrassment when Mr. Burns reminds him that he used to rush into his bedroom during thunderstorms when he was a little boy.

35.Bonds.

He was tied on the bed, letting out moans of pleasure as the younger man licked him and he could have never guessed that Smithers had such a kinky personality.

36.Market.

"He's off the market sir," Monty Burns growls at the other businessman and drags Smithers away possessively.

37.Technology.

"Go away, I'm too old to shove things into my ears," Mr. Burns grumbles, but he takes the headphones and listens to the song Smithers wrote about him.

38.Gift.

Waylon Smithers Jr. got his first Malibu Stacey when Mr. Burns forgot he was supposed to buy a present for a boy's birthday and not for a girl's.

39.Smile.

During the first weeks of their relationship Mr. Burns scared his Plant's employees as he was walking around with a smile plastered across his face.

40.Innocence.

"I was never innocent, I always knew what you wanted from me," he whispers into his ear with a voice hoarse with passion.

41.Completion.

"Atta boy!" Mr. Burns exclaims in rare praise when he finishes a project and Waylon ponders upon the reason he feels so flustered.

42.Clouds.

Patty Bouvier watches her friend walking around as if he's on cloud number 9 and hopes that she will be able to save him from a tremendous fall in the case the old coot screws everything up.

43.Sky.

Mr. Burns sure had an eccentric way to show he cared for him – his present for graduating High School was to take him for a night flight with his two-seat plane because as he told him he was old enough to touch the sky now.

44.Heaven.

Mr. Burns doesn't know how to flirt so he asks Smithers whether it had hurt when he had fallen from Heaven and causes the younger man to go into an uncontrollable fit of giggles.

45.Hell.

"If you die I'll come to Hell and bring you back," Smithers whispers in his ear and Mr. Burns believes he is capable of doing so.

46.Sun.

"I'm not the freakin' sun, so stop revolving your life around me," Mr. Burns snaps at him causing a stream of tears to roll down his cheeks.

47. Moon.

He opens his apartment's door and finds Monty waiting for him with a bunch of sunflowers in his hands and 'Fly me to the Moon' playing in the background.

48.Waves.

"WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING?" Waylon screeches at him in anger because he had gone for a swim in the sea overlooking the fact that the tiniest wave could crush and kill him.

49.Hair.

"Your hair is soft and smells like candy," little Waylon says sweetly and Mr. Burns is glad someone still adores his remaining locks of hair.

50.Supernova.

Charles Montgomery Burns wants his death to be like a Supernova – an event of catastrophic proportion, but he knows it will affect no one but Smithers.

"If you die I'll come to Hell and bring you back,"

That's just so fitting, and creepy and wrong and yet so cute and is so much about why I like this pairing so much...
