Long time no submit... Again OTLDid this little one for my grandmother's birthday. I took full advantage of some new colors I just bought, and tried a truckload of new techniques.
I'm very happy with this work, and it made me want to work with Copics again. Lots. I've found a better way to color skin (which involves something likes 236 layers), and I finally have the right colors to get golden blond hair that does not look like a cheap wig.
Time taken: 1h sketch, 30mn ink, 3h+ color

I know the feeling, except luckily that was about 3 1/2 weeks ago... exams are a lot of work to deal with. But then you're done! : ) What is the school year like for you, as in when do you start/finish?
I've only had time to draw since I've been back haha. Other than that, it's been mostly relaxing and taking it easy; reading, looking for a job, seeing people, etc. The usual summer! My dad put up our pool and I decided to go in this morning, except it was 70 degrees and overcast, plus the water was freezing so I only stayed in for about 10 minutes. It felt great though!

Well... I'm finished now ^o^ And I'll start again in mid-September, with 2 months for Christmas 8D
Heheh~ I'm gonna be working for money the whole of June (getting myself a gaming comp), and then drawing.

Wow, two months for Christmas? That's pretty rad! : ) I've learned to love the long breaks from college, actually. Everybody needs some time to be a vegetable!
Ah, I'm still unemployed but I do have a job nannying my hairdresser's two kids in August. Not all that much in terms of the entire summer, but it's something (and about 30 hours a week, so definitely legit). Will you be here all of July? That's awesome, we should definitely hang out! : ) When was the last time you were in Minnesota?
(Also, apologies for the long time it's taken me to reply... I've neglected dA for so long that I always forget to check it nowadays, lol.)
