These are both great styles ^w^
I very much like the softness in the colours and the sharp curves of the old design as well as the thin coloured outlines! The new style is far brighter and stands out more against the white background, I love the unique and cartoonlike style of shading and how round and bubbly the characters are c: the younger looks and deviation from correct anatomy in the newer designs is very much more appealing to children, ah im a sucker for round cartoon styles ;w;
Amazing work! :3

Ahh thankyou so much for the feedback ;u;
I'm a total sucker for them too, I'm glad you think I pulled them off so they're appealing enough! thankyou!!

To be quite honest the old versions scared me a little such pointy, bordering on witch like features ; - ;
I like how 'kid friendly' the newer ones are, very easy on the eyes, a sense of fluidity is more present.

I think I agree with you, I'm really happy with the newer ones myself, especially the kid friendly factor~ the old ones do look very witchy and not the cartoony I wanted them to be >.>

To be honest, I think the initial style is much cuter.

Mhm! You could try shading it like you did the second one, which is nice too, but mostly just reminds me of Love is, or something. Which isn't bad, but I feel there's more originality in your more pointy-nosed ladies, and since I think you sort of hinted its for a childrens book, I suppose you could consider getting rid of their physique? But that's entirely your call. 8)

I might give it a go then, just to see how it looks at least... I'm open to ideas, I want this to look good ;u;
I'm not sure what 'love is' orz
By getting rid of their physique, you mean similar to the newer style, but keeping like, the faces of the old ones? Mixing them up a bit?

www.loveisfan.com/images/lovei… Love is a coloring book a lot of kids I know grew up with 8) ))
But yeah! I'm flattered you're open to hearing what I have to say!
And, well if this is a childrens book, and you want the girls to be child-aged, I meant more getting rid of breasts.
Though about combining them, I really like the shading in the newer ones, so if you were to mix it up, I'd at least give the older ones their faces, and maybe the more childlike bodies and coloring like in the new one.
