Description This is honestly just about myself so feel free to ignore this.

I just felt like making a lil story time about my past with MMD and deviantArt since I was suddenly thinking to myself;

Wow I've been using this program for around 8~9 years. (I think almost 9 not sure)

I made my first DeviantART account in 2009, when I was 9 years old. I used to mostly do pixel art back then, and let me tell you it was god awful. But of course, I was 9. And also not supposed to be on this site. I'm pretty sure I started doing MMD within the same year, as I heard about it from some other Vocaloid fans and decided to try it out. I can't remember the date I actually started, and I don't think I ever posted the first thing I ever made on my old dA so I can never really be sure.
I also got my first account banned right before I turned 13 because I told someone I was only 12, shortly before my birthday on my profile. Back then to recover my account after I had turned 13, I needed my birth certificate and I didn't have access to it. However that account is back up now. I don't really wanna share it because its embarrassing haha. I ended up using an alternative account I had for a while, and then after made Pink-Heart-Pri . Which some of you may or may not remember. That account is where I got my online nickname "Pri" from. (Originally from the anime Lil'Pri)

I'm 19 now, so I assume I've been using this thing for 9 years at this point.

Anyways, when I first started MMD I pretty much started editing models right off the bat. My first edit was a recolour of a Mew Ichigo model. Just made it into a Dark Ichigo. I did have permission from the original artist. But at that time I had no idea what physics and joints were, so I used to ask people to make them for my models when they already had them. (Bad point in my history of MMD, pretty embarrassing) Also I used to only use 3DCG parts, which god that was a terrible idea. 3DCG parts, especially back then, had the worst rigging and physics. They were usually pretty buggy. Nowadays people actually will take time to try and fix the rigging and stuff, but back then not very many people did. (From what I remember).
I used to have a lot of friends I met through using it, and I really miss them even to this day. Unfortunately considering I was so young, a majority of my friends back then were quite a bit older than me and by now have already gotten far into their lives (So I hope). Some of my friends I still keep in contact with. To be honest, I can't remember the names of the ones I lost contact with many years ago. Though I can remember tadbits of the fun times we had.

I also used to do lots of livestreams, which I used to have lots of fun doing since people would come to them. I stopped doing them in more recent years as I got less active, and no one really came.

Maybe about a year or 2 into doing MMD, I started actually picking up rigging and wasn't asking people to do physics for me anymore lmao. A lot of those models were game rips, however at that point I still didn't know how to rip models. My rigging sucked, since I was a beginner but I used to do it so often I got pretty decent at it eventually. I also had someone who helped me get better, sadly I don't remember their dA name anymore, but I miss them greatly and still wish I could show them how much I've improved. Considering this person stopped using MMD, I'm probably better than them now (^:
Maybe around 2012 or 2013 something like that I started actually ripping games for myself, and if I remember correctly the first game I actually managed to rip was Sonicomi and Project Diva. I also remember running into a lot of drama regarding some people redistributing my rips without my permission because I had passwords on them (That you could ask for). I used to get really mad at started a whole fuss about it, but I had a lot of friends who were on my side which was really nice. Although I definitely didn't go about it in a mature way I'm sure. I wonder how I had friends when I was that cringy omg.

I also used to have an account by xXNekochanofDoomXx that I treated as "another person doing rips." Mostly for fun. I honestly don't really understand why I thought that was fun, and stopped doing it. But my main account was Pink-Heart-Pri which I really only posted my regular pictures on. Once I stopped being this "Neko" person I decided to just make this account that I have now. The Neko account was created after my account, PinkieChan/MMDRigger (Which no longer exists and I'm not even sure if the name is correct, I can't remember). That account was my main ripping account that ended up having a lot of drama attached to it. I think that was why I deleted it, but I can't really remember why.

From the time I started ripping up until last year, I was ripping mostly for other peoples usage since not very many people distributed rips and even if they did they weren't really "good quality". As in if the model had issues they wouldn't be fixed, etc. So I wanted to make sure they were released as decently as possible. Though now I only rip for myself, sometimes I am honestly tempted to start ripping for others again but I decide not to. I used to be really popular for it way back, and I've gotten sick of being popular for work that isn't really mine. Also it no longer feels very rewarding. I've talked about this before, so I don't need to talk about that much anymore.

Pretty much I started MMD in elementary school, and now I'm going into University this upcoming September. Pretty crazy to think about. Whenever I see old motions and anything old pertaining to MMD its like nostalgia. Like Bad Apple and Love and Joy. Anyone remember those? Especially Bad Apple, that motion was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo overused. I don't recall ever using it in an actual video, but I probably did for model tests.

I have a lot of experience and many years behind my works in MMD, so I know a lot of stuff about rigging and especially about ripping to the point I can just pinpoint where things are. (I can't script to save my life) I still have lots to work on, and I'm still not very good at picture making or making things from scratch or texturing. The only thing I can really say I'm good at is figuring out how to rip and rig. Also problem identifying. I've probably experienced nearly every glitch under the sun when it comes to MMD. Not all, of course.

Also I almost never use effects! Because I'm too lazy to search for them or figure out how to use them...

Some other information about me just because;

When I was in Grade 9 I started taking Japanese classes, and now I plan on making Japanese my career. I will be majoring in Japanese in University in hopes to be a translator. I was introduced to anime when I was 9, which was part of the reason I joined deviantArt in the first place because there was lots of anime-related art on this site. Since then, I have always loved Japanese culture, anime, music and the language itself and was always my dream to learn the language and go to Japan. Though I never would have thought it would lead to something I would want to do in the future.
In April I actually managed to go to Japan for the first time in my life, by saving up money from my part time job. I got to see my friends I had previously met in my hometown, who live in Japan. It was a wonderful time, and after experiencing the country firsthand now I hope to live there someday after I graduate university.

If you actually read all of this, thanks (:

Honestly I don't really consider myself very connected to the MMDC anymore, I don't pay attention much to the drama that goes around. I kinda ignore it.

I got caught in a storm of toxic in the community, to the point where I'm kinda scared of using other people's models.

I see, I think its best to not let it bother you. I mean easier said than done, and I don't know what happened, but if those people try to come back just try to ignore them I would say. If the models are fine for others to use, I don't see why you can't use them as well.
