Interesting semblance idea, but consider this: Recruiting.
Basically, she can recruit people into her personal army, give them some kind of power (or allow them to use their aura and semblance, even if they've never practiced either of those), and then they do their thing. She can, in theory, also force her soldiers to do the things she wants them to do, or take their powers away again if they don't follow orders, but unless her soldiers use these powers to kill anything other than Grimm, I doubt she'd do that.
I think it fits quite well, combining Weiss' princess-y theme with Ruby's desire to protect people.

Just looking at this BEAUTIFUL piece of art (which by the way it also looks fucking badass!!) and I just can't help but...kinda make up a backstory for this thing. So anyway!
(Taking place sometime after Team RWBY eventually reunites in Volume 5)
Team RWBY has been sent to investigate a local settlement in Mistral gone dark. They were told that the settlement had some valuable assets that must not fall into the wrong hands. Their mission is to determine the status of the settlement and collect all available assets if needed.
When the team finally arrived, they found that the settlement had been overrun by a pretty formidable amount of Grimm. The team then went to work in clearing it out.
When the area was eventually secured, the team split up to search for survivors and those "assets" they were told to get. Ruby and Weiss went off to one end while Yang and Blake went off to another.
Ruby and Weiss walked through most of the buildings, searching their interiors for anyone alive or any of those "assets". This went on for at least an hour before Ruby started to get complacent.
"Gaaah. We're not even finding anything! I don't think there was anything here!" Ruby whined as she trudged along the streets with Weiss.
"Ugh. Just quit your whining already, Ruby, it's not helping." Weiss groaned. "Besides, we're almost done covering this area. We might find something eventually."
The pair continued down the street until they came across a building that seemed more fortified than the rest of the buildings. Taking in some interest, the went inside.
Inside, after passing a few dead guards along the way, they find what seems to be a library of sorts, with old books and everything. The books themselves seem to be ancient magical tomes from the appearance of their text. However, whilst looking around the library, Ruby spots a certain area that she took quite the interest in.
"Hey, Weiss! Come check this out." Ruby called. Weiss arrived a few moments later to see what has gotten Ruby's attention.
The area in question featured a lone pedestal with open book resting upon it. The pedestal is surrounded by a chalk circle... that happens to be of a similar pattern to Weiss' glyphs. In the area adjacent to the pedestal was a workplace scattered with loose paper and notes. The notes seem to detail a researcher's attempts to decipher the contents of the book on the pedestal, which bore little fruit.
However, Ruby and Weiss found that they were able to read it's contents clearly, for some strange reason. They didn't dwell on that thought for long though, because as they turned a few pages of the book, it began to glow. Then, somehow wind begins blow throughout the room, letting all that loose paper fly around the pair. The chalk circle below them began to glow as well as started spinning in the same manner as Weiss' glyphs.
Eventually, Ruby and Weiss looked at each other and decided that now was the time to get out. They were about to make a break for it when suddenly, a large orb of light appeared above the book. The orb began to pull Ruby and Weiss towards itself. They attempted to hold themselves in place by planting their weapons into the ground and hold on for dear life. This proved to be futile as the orb's gravity quickly grew stronger and stronger until finally their weapons lost their grip in the ground and they were engulfed by the light.
After a few moments, the orb started to fluctuate erratically, flickering faster and faster until it finally into an upwards pillar of light.
Not far off, Yang and Blake were having no luck with their search, when suddenly they saw the pillar of light explode into the air. Without a second thought, they both rushed to the scene.
They arrive at the pillar of light, surprised at not seeing Ruby or Weiss at the scene. The pillar then started to recede back into an orb. Yang and Blake stood before the orb in curiosity. Yang gave the orb a little poke, causing it to explode once more into a blinding flash of light. When the light finally diminished, it revealed a young girl collapsing to the ground unconscious. The girl seemed to be just around the age of Ruby and Weiss, but something was strange. The girl was wearing kind of the same outfit that Ruby would wear.... but also like Weiss. Then to the hair, Weiss' scar...
"Wait a minute...is that...?" Yang said, putting two and two together, when suddenly, the girl started to wake up.
(Just gonna recap this next part, I need to go to sleep, it's 1:02 AM as I'm writing this.)
The girl immediately recognizes both Yang and Blake and explains that she's pretty much the fusion between Ruby and Weiss. The girl calls later herself White Rose. White Rose's weapon seems to have also have been created by fusing Ruby's and Weiss' weapon together, utilizing Myrtenaster's dust cylinder and retaining Crescent Rose's sniper scythe capabilities.
In mind however, while White Rose retains the memories of both Ruby and Weiss individually, she's kind of a different person. She does however act and behaves like either Ruby or Weiss. From Weiss' "passive-aggressive-ness", to Ruby's free spirit, and everything else in between. White Rose's Semblance abilities have changed as well, utilizing the rose petal effect that Ruby usually has, and Weiss' glyph powers.
Later, to the relief of the girls, they find out that the fusion does not have to be permanent and that they can defuse at any time...or at least the spell wears off in at least 5 days. The spell can be activated at any time as well by...some...process, I don't know.
AAAAAAANYWAY!!! That's kinda...my thing on this! I uh....I hope you like it! Now I need to go the fuck to sleep.

Awesome! I love her design and trivia. However, her Semblance is just Speed Glyphs? Can't Weiss already do those by herself? It doesn't sound very impressive, to be totally honest. I mean, it's not very impressive for a fusion, it's a great Semblance for pretty much any single person. Maybe I'm just mistaken and you mean something more by Speed Glyphs than just Glyphs that increase a person's speed and reflexes.
Her weapon looks badass as heck too, although I haven't the slightest clue if it's practical or not. I'm not a weapon expert, I watch RWBY for the plot and the cute girls. Does this weapon have its own name?
By the way, I'm pretty much convinced that Ruby wouldn't be a simple Ruby in Steven Universe. She's a main character and a leader, so I'm sure she'd be a Rose Quartz. Weiss could be either a Sapphire or a Pearl, and I prefer to think of her as a Pearl, so I suppose White Rose would be a Rainbow Quartz. I know we've talked about this before, I just felt like mentioning it again.

Actually like I said in the video her semblance is more like speed teleportation. I call it speed glyphs cause if fuses the names of their semblances (Even tho Ruby's is lowkey hella hard to even define). Think Minato Namikaze from Naruto if you're familiar, they can place glyphs around the battlefield and teleport to each one, the weakness is they must be placed intentionally, the advantage is they're limitless, pretty badass for a fusion I'd say( and to sweeten the deal, they can do it super fast). Physically their form would turn into a mixture of rose petals and snowflakes while teleporting.
What weapon in Rwby is practical from a physics standpoint (Ruby is 5'3 and carries a 7 ft tall scythe, her semblance isn't super strength so I think it's a little unrealistic to expect her to handle that much weight, maybe aura???? that seems logical I guess). So let's throw out practicality xD Her scythe is basically the same as Ruby's, only an updated design to incorporate Myrtenaster. However, it doesn't work the same way. Remember how I said they can place glyphs during a battle and teleport between them? I feel like this scythe would have the ability to basically shoot glyph tags to aid them in placing said glyphs since it would take a while to do it manually. Since it's a sniper rifle with Weiss's dust rapier it would do a nice job of that. In addition to those things, they also have the ability to hurl frozen rose petals at people (just an added bonus), and they have winter nova (which is silver nova on steroids) Not very practical but super badass, think Elsa's eternal winter for lack of a better example. Since we have very little information on Ruby's Silver Nova I don't have many other ideas of what it could do, but I imagine if it was mastered it would be pretty unstoppable. But wait; there's more. Weiss's ability to summon would be kicked up a notch to include both Ruby and Weiss's past foes. She'd also be able to summon at full power since Ruby doesn't have the preexisting notion that she can't summon well.
I feel like Ruby would deffs be a Rose Quartz (I mean, Rose, hello). They come in darker shades of Red occasionally so I think it matches up. Weiss would maybe be a Sapphire, the powers line up but the personality doesn't quite. Weiss is a leader not a follower, so I doubt she would be a pearl. Very few of the attributes line up. In general I'd say she's a gem we haven't seen yet from Blue's court. Closest we've come is probs a Sapphire though, in personality and ability (Holly blue agate is also sorta close) Maybe a Moonstone? (If we ever get to see one.)

Sorry, I didn't watch the video. Now that you explained it to me, her Semblance sounds way better, not to mention her other abilities! Hurling frozen rose petals and summoning both of their foes is totally something I can see White Rose doing, but I'm not as sure about winter nova. I think you may be taking Weiss's whole ice theme a little too literally. Yes, her name basically means "white snow", but that's just it - she's based on Snow White, not the Snow Queen. Her Semblance isn't ice powers, she has to use Dust to create ice with her Glyphs. Granted, she clearly loves using ice more than other Dust elements, but it's not something she can do without her weapon. That's why I think winter nova would be something outside of White Rose's skillset, and besides, pretty much the only thing we know about Ruby's silver nova (in addition to the fact that it's super-effective against Maidens) is the fact that it freezes the Grimm, so I'd say it already acts almost like an ice power. Of course, these are only my views on the matter.
You're definitely right about weapons not being practical in RWBY, I don't even know why I brought it up. XD Thanks for telling me what the weapon does, all those things sound great and logical - well, logical by the show's standards.
I agree, Weiss is more of a leader than a follower, but naturally I see Weiss as the Crystal Gems' rebel Pearl. I think those two have a lot in common. Their colors more or less match, they both use similar weapons and can summon things (I know most Gems can summon weapons, but Pearls can keep other things in their Gems as well), they're both graceful and light on their feet, they're great singers and they both rebelled against authorities. Most importantly, their personalities are somewhat alike as well. True, Weiss appears to have less self-esteem issues than Pearl and I doubt she's ever been as devoted to anyone as Pearl was to Rose, but they both have learned to be something more than expected/allowed, they both have something big to drive them forward and they know they can never go back to what they once were. Also, they can both be a little unpleasant at times, but they have good reasons for that.
So yeah. I think the only thing Weiss has in common with Sapphires is the high society thing, but like we've seen, Weiss actually hates the rich snobby people she's been surrounded by most of her life. Also, even though Pearls are slaves, their main job is to stand around their owners, look pretty and keep their mouths shut... Just like Weiss's father treated his daughter during that party. In conclusion, I'd say QUITE a few of Weiss's and Pearl's attributes line up. You don't have to agree with me, but I hope you see where I'm coming from.

It freezes grimm, but it also froze everything on beacon tower, it's an ice ability if I ever saw one. In general their combined abilities would likely just bump it up a notch, not weaken it. Especially since Weiss clearly has a natch for anything cold. Like I said, if we knew more about the ability I could define more weaknesses for it in WhiteRose's form, but I don't see any reason why WhiteRose wouldn't be able to use silver nova. Of course, emotions definitely play a key factor in triggering Silver Nova since Ruby initially did it completely by accident, and additionally she also completely blacked out afterwards. It's an endgame trump card, so it isn't all powerful. In order to use it WhiteRose would have to be completely in control of her emotions, which despite likely being a stable fusion, I feel like that would be difficult to do.
The issue is more "which gem would they be," not "which crystal gem would they be." Weiss wouldn't be pearl, she would be A pearl, which means she gets the attributes of pearls which widely vary, very few pearls are rebels, our pearl is a rebel because she's different, not because she's a pearl. That goes along with the other characteristics as well. If I had to pick a crystal gem, Pearl is a clear choice, but otherwise I don't think her personality/abilities line up clearly enough with any one gem yet.
I get where you're coming from with that, it definitely makes sense. I just feel there will likely be a gem better suited for Weiss in the future. Maybe if you fused a pearl and a sapphire? A lot of the fan fusions I've seen of them remind me more of Weiss than any singular gem. That's one reason why a moonstone seems fitting if it appeared in SU. I feel it would combine a lot of attributes Sapphires and Pearls have.
