Description
Demibigenderflux is a combination of demigender and bigenderflux , someone who identifies as demibigenderflux experiences two genders, either fluidly or at the same time, both of which fluctuate in intensity from agender to demigender. For example, one might feel both demiboyflux and demigirlflux at the same time, or feel those identities individually and variably. The two genders they experience can be any two genders, and are not limited to binary and non-binary identities, but can include binary and/or non-binary identities and xenogenders .
Demibigenderflux can be a gender identity by itself, but it doesn't have to be. Someone could feel that a strong part of their gender identity is demibigenderflux, but they also experience a different gender identity when it comes to the other parts of their gender identity. Demibigenderflux people may use the individual labels that more specifically describe their gender; for example, if a demibigenderflux person's two genders are maverique and catgender , they may use demicatflux and demimaveriqueflux. In that case demibigenderflux would be an umbrella term for their gender identity.
Additionally, demibigenderflux people don't have to usually identify with demigenders, the identity simply shows that demigender is the greatest intensity at which demibigenderflux people experience their identity. So, demibigenderflux people could feel libragender or agender most of the time, but may fluctuate to their maximum intensity at demi sometimes.
Another definition for the term is that part of one's gender identity is bigenderflux (fluctuates in intensity in between two genders), and the other part is constant.
Flag The first proposed flag created by user Rainbowraven96 combines the color scheme of demigenderflux flags as well as rainbow ombre stripes to represent the fluidity and fluxness of the gender spectrum to show how demibigenderflux people fluctuate across the gender spectrum, not just one gender.
Another proposed flag designed by Transgender Cat shows a mix of the bigender flag and bigenderflux flags, in combination with the consistent grey-themed demigender and demigenderflux flags. The grey represents partial-gendered experience, yellow represents fluctuating intensity of gender in demibigenderflux individuals, pink represents womanhood or femininity, blue represents manhood or masculinity, and purple represents a mix of the two in androgyny.
History Though this term may have been used individually by people before, it was coined on February 3, 2021 by FANDOM user Rainbowraven96.
