Wisteria is a favorite flowering plant of mine. There's a Japanese folk tale about a wisteria tree that turns into a young girl. It's been turned into a kabuki play: [link]
I have a porcelain Wisteria Maiden doll my grandfather bought in Japan 50 years ago, so I recognized the flowers in your painting immediately.

The apple was a lucky guess, I assumes it was apple and not some other round red fruit.
