This is something that's been on my mind for a long time ever since I watched the Godzilla Anime Trilogy, which I didn't enjoy that much. But I have an idea for a what if scenario that I think could've been a better way to conclude the trilogy and that idea was, what if The Planet Eater had a sad ending? Here's what the what if scenario would've been like.

The Planet Eater would played out just as it did in movie, but right up to that point where Godzilla is freed from Ghidorah's grasp and destroys all of his head. After Godzilla had destroyed the final head, the 3 blackholes in the sky begins to merge together forming a giant blackhole where everyone could see Ghidorah's sillouette from inside it coming straight towards them. Godzilla sees Ghidorah coming but he is too tired and weak to fight after been drained of his energy by the noodle heads before. There was only one thing that Godzilla could do, he began to charge up his atomic breath and when it was ready, Godzilla takes aim and then fires it NOT at Ghidorah, but into the Earth instead! All the human characters were both shocked and confused on what Godzilla was doing, but then they realize that Godzilla was going to destroy the entrie planet to not allow Ghidorah from taking his kingdom from him which meant that everyone was going to die. Everyone accepted their fate as Godzilla continued blasting his atomic breath into the planet until it finally exploded, taking the Moon and Ghidorah's blackhole along with it. Then it was gone, Earth was no more and that's how the anime trilogy could've ended.
