Description I wanted to do some quick Santa artwork and decided to throw a Santified Gilius Thunderhead in there. He already has the beard so I just added some fur trim details to the outfit and turned the green cloth to red.

Gilius Thunderhead copyright Sega.

updated 10:13 EST to version with Axe added.

I'm pretty sure the "Nice" ratio would be much higher if lil' kids knew that Santa had an axe and could drop lightning on them.

Genius work! Gilius was always my favorite guy to use in Golden Axe. I hope those little bastards that steal the potions are on his naughty list and only get an axe to the face on Christmas Day!!

For me, it was either Gilius or Tyris. Ax Battler's shoulder charge move had crappy range.

Nobody likes those little thieves. They're definitely on the naughty list along with the chumps that steal your items in Kid Icarus. I don't like them either!

I used to be a pretty good NES player back in the day, but Kid Icarus was one of the games that gave me the most trouble! Especially the early dungeon levels when your life bar was still small. Curse those damned Eggplant Wizards!! (But not the one on Captain N, he rules!)

ha ha. He's jolly, but he'll kill your whole army if you bring strife to the land.

And that's real deal Holyfield (also available for the Sega Genesis).

An old-school Segafied Christmas just seemed to fit since the other holiday/game pic I did was from Nintendo.

Ok, that's just too perfect a concept involving Gilius (and props to the Chicken Leg w/antlers idea above). Very fitting, very cool...and, as always, extremely well drawn/colored. ^^

Hahaha, pure awesome. Though now I have this image of his festive sleigh being pulled by a flock of Chicken-Legs. xP

Merry Christmas!

I wanted to draw one Chicken-Leg with antlers in the background with a sack of magic bottles but I didn't have enough time or energy to do that

Merry Christmas to you too!

Haha, ah well. It's a great pic even without it. Hope you had a good holiday and a upcoming happy New Year!

Dwarves make for great Santas, don't they? If they could only have reigned in the drinking and swearing the Claus contract wouldn't have gone to those bloody elves...

PrimeOp In reply to zerry [2008-12-25 20:22:07 +0000 UTC]

True that. Scrawny elves aren't as good at construction or hauling the product as dwarves. Ah, what could've been.
