004 - The Avengers (pencil and Photoshop)
The fourth entry into my "frames from my favorite movies and tv shows" project comes from Joss Whedon's original Avengers film. I always though the way they chose to show Tony Stark's face and Heads Up Display when he was in the Iron Man suit was brilliant. I planned on using a frame from one of the Iron Man movies, but discovered that the HUD was more colorful in the Avengers.
I'm really happy with how this turned out, it took a lot of trial and error to figure out how to get a decent glow from the HUD, and I spent a lot of time trying to get a much smoother texture on the face than I normally do. I actually plan on adding something to the outside of the frame for this piece, but since today is the release day for the Avengers sequel, I thought I would upload what I have.
