Thought I'd revisit the Evo fandom, most specifically my favourites, Kurt and Todd.I love the dynamic these two enemies-slash-rivals have. They have every reason to hate eachother, yet they have so much in common. They beat eachother to snot for the greater cause, yet they end up helping one another in matters of the heart. And even though Kurt wins every time they do have a scuffle, he can be seen carrying Todd to safety when the fighting is done. When I get into a series, I usually end up picking my favourite characters in pairs, and these two play off eachother so wonderfully, I really can't get enough of them ^_^
So yes, Kurt and Todd have just engaged in fisticuffs, and now they are leaving the battle zone, supporting one another as they go. It seems fitting, don't you think? And yer, even though they can't really show this sort of thing on the actual show, you'd have to agree that with the kind of fighting these guys do (and the amount of it), things would get more bloody and messy than the kid-friendly cartoons let on.

sorry toad but theres a reason nightcrawler wins every time.... thats because hes a billion zillion times more useful in a fight and toad's "power" is total weakness
they arent even in the same league. toads lucky nightcrawler doesnt teleport toads head into hell lol

Wow. After beating each other apart, look at the show of affection at the end. Incredible how they really appreciate their friendship, even if they're on different sides. Great job on the faces.

These guys were my favorites, it's so nice to see some fan art of them. Man, I miss that show.

This is amazing! Their poses and battle damage are complementing each other so well! The coloring is awsome, and the expressions are so believeable!

On a more serious note, I agree. Should have been far more blood and injuries on that show! Not so much for Toad as Nightcrawler. Toad actually has powers to explain his ability to come out relatively uninjured, but Kurt doesn't. In fact, I have several comics where he does get injured, including a time he broke his leg! Kinda funny actually... He was scrambling along on crutches -way- faster then people should be.

Wow, this is just so...Wow. The tension and sorrow this picture gives off is just so good. The coloring, the lining, how you drew the characters supporting eachother is simply amazing. Kurt is such a soft-heart, he always did care for one's own being even if they were on the enemy side, expectally Todd's. I believe if the show ran longer they would show Kurt looking out for Todd more. Todd looks so badly hurt but still helping Kurt walk is so 'aww'ness.

OH wow. I love the way you colored the blood! It shows up, but it's not too bright, and looks realistic, which is something most people have a hard time with.
And have I ever told you that I love the way you draw Kurt? Seriously, you draw him so awesome <3

you are just dead on with those two characters. it is so easy to imagine them as friends- they should have been- and yet all those lines in the sand. i really love this pic. aside from what i already mentioned (and i couldn't have said any of it better than you did), it's a great peice. i love the lighting. it looks like sunset, and the whole picture just has this hazy, tired feeling. you can feel their pain and fatigue.

Wow, this is just . . . freaking amazing. Where do I start? The twilight atmosphere of the park(?) they're in after the battle and just the misery of both boys is heartwrenching. As is the fact that they're helping each other anyway. Todd looks like he's trying to hide his face in Kurt's hair which makes him look younger than he is, and Kurt's eyes . . . wow, I just wanna patch them both up, and then go put some Ben Gay in Magneto's underwear. Possibly Xavier's as well.
Kurt always *did* help Todd whenever the battle was over, or when they were on the same side which is one of the reasons I always did love this pairing.
