-drew this to the Death Note soundtrack, and my goodness, the choir fits so dang well-He was originally a god of wisdom. Now he's a god of destruction. Maybe it can be wise to destroy things. So why not both?
why did dA make this so dark.

Uuhh, pretty! I don't know that much about Death Note or the song, but the sinister atmosphere I like a lot. And the swirly mist (?) looks real great, too!

That's a heck of a lot less time than I thought it would take to make a piece like this. My latest piece has taken me around 60 to 70 hours so far and I have no where near the amount of detail you have in this piece.

The fur was done very quickly using a tutorial. The rest of it was really just using brushes with a lot of noise that do a lot of the detail work for me.Β

I'm still not using complex brushes yet, just a hard edge and soft edge round brush. I'm still a bit skeptical of using premade brushes or brushes I made to add detail to my pieces. I probably should look into them a bit more if they are saving you a lot of time.

It depends. It's hard to do an art trade and make it a 40 hour piece, if you know what I mean. It'd have to be a pretty long art trade. XD
