Description

The next morning Kaiba arrived at school early, or at least earlier than usual for him. All night long he had been tortured with thoughts of Joey. Just as he was about to drop off to sleep Joey would appear. Damn that mutt!!!!

He sighed and pulled out his laptop. The screams of mistreated keys soon filled the air. It was a solid hour before the teacher showed up then another half an hour for any students to show up. Even though Kaiba tried to hide it he was on the look out for Joey.Â

Kaiba watched the whole entire class file in except the twins. Ten minutes before the bell Joey walked in with Jounouchi on his back. Kaiba had to cover his ears from the screams of the fan girls. A shot of jealousy shivered through him asÂ he saw the two.Â

"What happened?" Yugi asked as they came in.

"Jou fell asleep on the train." Joey explained, smiling apologetically. "It seems like I kept my little twin up too late."Â

Kaiba watched as one girl fainted and the others screams even louder than before. He really hoped that Joey wasn't doing anything naughty last night. He would kill the mutt of he found out differently.Â

Joey walked past Kaiba with Jou on his back. "Hey mutt," Kaiba said as Joey set his twin down in the desk next to him.Â

"Hey Kaiba," Joey said. "When the hell did you come up with mutt?"

"Just barely," Kaiba replied, enjoying the feeling of getting on Joey's nerves.Â

"Yeah, right," Joey slide into his seat. "You probably spent all night coming up with that."

"Well, I'm sorry to break it to you, but some people can actually think." Kaiba snapped.Â

Joey chuckled, knowing he had gotten on the brunette's nerves. Kaiba growled under his breath and focused on his computer.Â

"Why are you always typing on that?" Joey asked. "Are you a writer or something."Â

Kaiba couldn't help it. He burst out laughing. Nearly everyone in the class turned to see the unknown spectacle.Â

"What?" Joey said, bristling. Kaiba continued to laugh. The ignorance of his little pup was so cute!

"I'm the CEO of Kaiba corporation. The biggest corporation in Japan and the second in the world." Kaiba finally said as he regained his dignity.Â

Joey cocked his head to the side. "What's Kaiba corporation?"

Kaiba's jaw dropped at the question. Joey didn't know what Kaiba corp was?! Everyone knew what that was!

"It's one of the biggest corporations in the world!" Kaiba exclaimed.Â

Joey turned his eyes to the side in deep thought. "Nope," he said, turning his attention back to Kaiba. "Never heard of it."Â

Kaiba mentally faceplamed. "You're an even bigger idiot than I thought."Â

"Hey!" Joey yelled. "Just because I haven't heard of your stupid company doesn't mean that I'm an idiot!"Â

"Time to calm down, class." The teacher said. Joey reluctantly fell silent, sending glares at the so called 'CEO'.

"Jou," Joey leaned over to his twin. "It's time to wake up."Â

"I don't wanna," Jou mumbled tiredly.Â

"But it's time for class." Joey said softly.Â

"Screw class," Jou growled.Â

Joey laughed. "I know how much you hate class, but you need to pay attention. Sleep during lunch."Â

Jou growled and sat in a technical upright position, eyes fogged over with sleep. Joey smiled at his twin then turned his attention to the board, not paying attention at all. The excessive coming from his left was too distracting. Finally he gave up on class and snuck glances at Kaiba, trying to figure him out.Â

It was obvious he hid behind a mask. He was always guarded and cold. He was also the CEO of a company. That would explain his adult like behavior. It must have sucked being forced to grow up so fast at such a young age.Â

Lunch came way to slowly for the CEO. Every time he looked over Joey was watching him, not even bothering to be sneaky, just flat out staring. As much as Kaiba wanted to say it freaked him out it didn't, and that scared him. The feeling that had been slowly working their way through his body since Joey had come had shaken him to his core.Â

At the lunch bell Joey jumped again and fell. This time Jou caught Joey.Â

"You okay?" Jou asked, laughing.Â

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks Jou," Joey said gratefully, blissfully ignorant to the fainting fan girls swarming them.Â

"You ready to go to lunch?" Jou asked.Â

"I was actually going to go explore, and maybe ditch the rest of school." Joey said with a wink.Â

Jou pretended to sigh. "You're never going to learn anything."Â

"Yes I do. Just not at school. You're a much better teacher than the ones here." Joey said.Â

Jou hid a smile. "I'll take notes for you."Â

Joey pecked his twin on the cheek. "Thanks Jou,"Â

Once again both of the boys were ignorant of the fan girls. Kaiba clenched his hand in jealousy. Jou was taking advantage of HIS mutt!!!

Jou walked off to go eat lunch with the group they had yesterday. Joey shoved his hands on his pockets and went to explore.Â

Kaiba sighed and stared at his computer. He couldn't think of anything to work on though he knew there was work to be done. His laptop closed with a click and he decided to go sit on the roof. Since no one else knew the way to the roof it was his private sanctuary.Â

He pushed the door to the roof open and froze. A certain blonde mutt stood there, his back to him. The wind teased the blonde locks to the left. Kaiba felt shots of desire spike his blood. He quickly clamped down on those feelings.Â

"What the hell are you doing here, mutt?" Kaiba yelled.Â

Joey turned around, his eyes widening in shock as he saw the speaker. "Kaiba?"Â

Kaiba forced himself to ignore the way the wind blew Joey's hair across his face or how cute shock played out on Joey's features.

"This is my spot!" Kaiba growled.Â

"Really?" Joey asked with a smirk. "Because I'm pretty sure I was here first."Â

"Whatever, go away." Kabia growled.Â

Joey thought about this for a moment. "Nay," he decided. "It's so much more fun to mess with you."Â

Kaiba felt himself rise to the bait.Â He closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose. That stupid idiot...

"Pretty, huh?" Joey said.Â

Kaiba opened his eyes and saw that Joey had his back to him again. Cherry blossoms from the trees below whirled in the wind and intertwined themselves into Joey's blonde locks. Want shivered up and down kaiba's spine as he watched the blonde.Â

"I love cherry blossoms," Joey confessed. Kaiba pulled himself from his trance and shook his head.Â

"Why?" Kaiba asked, meaning to sound harsh, but instead his voice took on a soft tone that sounded curious and sincere.Â

"Have you ever heard of a 'Sakura Kiss'?" Joey asked, ignoring Kaiba's question.Â

"No," Kaiba shrugged. Joey turned around, a smile drawing attention to his lips.Â

"It's said that when you kiss someone in a flurry of cherry blossom petals that is your true love. That's a 'Sakura Kiss'." Joey explained.Â

"Oh..." Kaiba said. He shrugged as if he didn't care.Â

"If you really want me to, I'll leave." Joey said after a moment of awkward silence.Â

"No, it's fine." Kaiba shrugged. "You're not too bad."Â

Joey rolled his eyes. "Thanks for the compliment."Â

"You're welcome," Kaiba smirked.Â

He walked over to his pup and sat down. Joey followed him. They sat on the roof, legs hanging off, knees touching. Kaiba catch himself staring at the blonde several times during lunch. Joey never did seemed to be paying attention though. He was always pointing out stupid things that he would never notice, but now that he noticed them he saw the beauty in them. For the first time in over several years, Kaiba let his mask slip, only a small amount, but still enough to show Joey who he really was.Â

Yugi sat behind a weeping willow, trying to hold back tears. Today was the anniversary of him and Yami. Until Yami dumped him that was. At the thought of his former lover tears welled in his eyes and fell down his cheeks.Â

"You okay?" a soft voice said close to his ear. Yugi's head jerked up, his fresh tears in view for everyone to see.Â

"Jounouchi..." Yugi said weakly, trying to hid the tears in his voice. He quickly wiped his eyes with the backs of his hands.Â

"Call me Jou," Jou said. "Now tell me, what's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong..." Yugi lied, his voice breaking.Â

"You're lying." Jou pointed out. "You can tell me, I won't tell anyone."Â

Yugi started to protest, but then saw the kind look in Jou's eyes and his resolve melted. "It's the anniversary of me and boyfriend, but two weeks ago be dumped me..." Yugi confessed.Â

"Yeah, it hurts, huh?" Jou sat down next to him. "I had a boyfriend once who dumped me. It hurt, like hell."Â

Yugi stared at Jou in shock. Jou was gay?!

"Oh, I'm sorry," Yugi said.Â

"It's alright." Jou smiled. "The thing is, even though it hurt, it taught me a lesson. And even though it hurt it was worth it because now I have the memories of all the good times we had."Â

Yugi thought about that. "Yeah, I guess your right."Â

"Of course I am," Jou said, a bit cockily.Â

Yugi laughed a bit and Jou joined in. Yugi loved the sound of Jou's laugh, it was so pretty, clear and bell-like.

"You know," Yugi said. "Even though he did hurt me I hope he's happier now."Â

"That's the spirit." Jou said brightly.Â

Yugi smiled too. He wiped the rest of his tears away and stared to the sky.Â

"Thank you,"" Yugi said. "Thank you so much."Â

"No, no," Jou said. "I didn't do anything. I just pointed you in the right direction."Â

Yugi knew differently but he didn't say so. Instead he worked up his courage and leaned his head on Jou's shoulder. Jou stiffened at first then relaxed.Â

"Look cherry blossoms," Jou said in Yugi's ear. Yugi giggled as Jou's breath tickled him.Â

"Yeah, they're beautiful." Yugi agreed, looking at Jou.Â

They sat in silence for a moment. Then Yugi turned bright red when Jou's head came to a rest on top of his. For the rest of lunch they stayed like that, watching the cherry blossoms float in the wind.Â

Yugi couldn't stop thinking about Jou. Jou was just so, Yugi sighed dreamily. He snuck a look at his new love who was sitting in back. Jou caught his eyes and smile. Yugi smiled back, a bit in a daze. After Jou's talk Yugi had found that all of his lingering feeling for Yami vanished. Instead new feelings for Jou had blossomed.Â

Of course Yugi wasn't the only one dealing with love. Anzu sat at her desk, thinking bout Jou also. Even though it had only been a couple of days she couldn't stop thinking of the other twin. Jou was so sweet and sincere. It was so hard not to fall in love with Jou.Â

Kabia sat at the back, trying his hardest not to look at Joey. Joey had decided to stay in school for the rest of the day, a miracle that Jou was thankful for. During lunch the two traded insults and comments until the bell rang. Since the bell was loudest at the top of the school Joey jumped three times more than usual. Since they were on the roof Kaiba had to caught him before he fell off.Â

Now Kaiba glanced over at Joey, desire overriding his resolve. Joey hand his head cradled in one hand, staring with a bored expression at the teacher. His eyes wandered over to Kaiba. Heat flooded Kaiba's cheeks at Joey's knowing smirk. He turned his gaze to the teacher and forced it to stay there. Meanwhile Joey rolled his eyes and looked back at the board, his smirk still in place.Â

After school Yugi decided to tell Jou his feelings. he didn't care if he was being rash, he had to. His heart was ordering him too.Â

Three seats over Anzu had decided the same thing. She just had to tell Jou of her feelings! The lust that tore at her heart was so strong it threatened to kill her!

The bell rang. Yugi and Anzu's hearts jumped to their throats. A mixture of fear and anticipation overcame them.Â

"Hey," Yugi said as he walked over to Jou's desk.Â

Jou looked up and smiled. "Hi Yugi!"Â

"Would it be okay if I talked to you real quick?" Yugi asked, a bit nervous. Anzu, who was watching from five feet away, seethed in anger.Â

"Okay," Jou said. Jou turned to Joey. "I'll be right back, okay."

"Don't be too long," Joey said.Â

"I won't," Jou smiled. Joey watched as his twin left with Yugi and noticed that Anzu was trailing behind them. That was odd...

"Where's your twin going?" Kaiba asked.Â

"Oh, to go talk to Yugi." Joey said, turning to Kabia. "Why do you care?"

Kaiba chuckled. "Yugi's probably going to announce his love for Jou. Too bad for him, Jou's not gay, is he?"

Joey's eyes went wide. Then he burst out laughing, tears streaming down his face. He doubled over and was soon on the ground, rolling.Â

"What?" Kaiba asked, feeling as though he was missing something.Â

"Come here" Joey said, sitting up, tears of laughter still wetting his cheeks.Â

"Okay," Kaiba said. He knelt down besides Joey.

Joey leaned close to Kaiba. So close that Kaiba could smell the cinnamon on Joey's breath. This close Kaiba could see the soft swell of Joey's lips. He wanted to lean forward, just an inch or so, and connect their lips. Then Joey whispered something in his ear that had even the stuck up CEO gasping for air.

"Jou," Yugi said. " I need to tell you something." Anzu watched jealousy from the behind a corner. Steam practically rose off her head as she watched the two.Â

Jou leaned against the locker. "Shoot,"Â

Yugi took a deep breath. "Actually, it's something I want to show you."Â

Jou nodded and waited for his answer.Â

It was now or never. Yugi took a deep breath and stood on his toes. He leaned in towards Jou's face and placed his hands on Jou's chest. Suddenly Yugi froze. On instinct Yugi squeezed, twice. Jou's eyes widened in shock.

Then the puzzle pieces came to together and the realization struck Yugi. "YOU'RE A GIRL?!?!?!?!"Â

"Oh, to go talk to Yugi." Joey said, turning to Kabia. "Why do you care?"

Kaiba chuckled. "Yugi's probably going to announce his love for Jou. Too bad for him, Jou's not gay, is he?"

Joey's eyes went wide. Then he burst out laughing, tears streaming down his face. He doubled over and was soon on the ground, rolling.Â

"What?" Kaiba asked, feeling as though he was missing something.Â

"Come here" Joey said, sitting up, tears of laughter still wetting his cheeks.Â

"Okay," Kaiba said. He knelt down besides Joey.

Joey leaned close to Kaiba. So close that Kaiba could smell the cinnamon on Joey's breath. This close Kaiba could see the soft swell of Joey's lips. He wanted to lean forward, just an inch or so, and connect their lips. Then Joey whispered something in his ear that had even the stuck up CEO gasping for air.

"Jou," Yugi said. " I need to tell you something." Anzu watched jealousy from the behind a corner. Steam practically rose off her head as she watched the two.Â

Jou leaned against the locker. "Shoot,"Â

Yugi took a deep breath. "Actually, it's something I want to show you."Â

Jou nodded and waited for his answer.Â

It was now or never. Yugi took a deep breath and stood on his toes. He leaned in towards Jou's face and placed his hands on Jou's chest. Suddenly Yugi froze. On instinct Yugi squeezed, twice. Jou's eyes widened in shock.

Then the puzzle pieces came to together and the realization struck Yugi. "YOU'RE A GIRL?!?!?!?!"Â
