Actually,Harry Mudd himself did appear in a few ST comic books that are set in the movie era. If you'd like I can display the numbers of which issues and which company.

Btw,who is this orin you speak of? I'm still a bit rusty on ST TOS charcters even these days.

Ah, really? That's cool! I'm afraid I haven't read many of the comic books before.

Oh, Orin's not a canon character--she's my fancharacter, a little girl whom Scotty adopts just after The Wrath of Khan and before The Search for Spock. Here's one of my pictures of them: fav.me/d9vclp1 ("Dinarian" is the name of Orin's species, which I also made up--like many of the earlier TOS aliens, they're basically human in appearance, just with a few subtle differences. For instance, the average Dinarian is a bit smaller than the average human.)

I also watched his first episode, " Mudd's Women " where they had him in it 

I think Orin would freak out when he sees him and the Enterprise crew will put him in a brig

Ah, yeah, he seemed a bit more villainous in "Mudd's Women" than he did in "I, Mudd."
