Backstory : (Year 2486) Neon lives in a place called the Neon District. It is a broken city with many dangerous people. People openly sell drugs and guns, and abuse and murder people daily, even on the streets. This area is surrounded by a wall protected by the leaders. Only a few people have escaped by sneaking out or using a good excuse to leave.
Neon grew up with a family of 5. His mother, father and a younger brother and sister who were 11 and 12. Neon was 14. He was the oldest sibling. When the city was still in good condition, his family and life were fine. But as years passed, a new leader took over, creating chaos in only a few years. His parents lost their jobs and tried to find new ones which required them to work almost all day, and still gained minimum wage. The stress was too much on the parents, so they started using unhealthy comping mechanisms such as drinking and using drugs. Neon's father went from a caring man who would do anything to protect his family, into man who beats his family almost every night. Neon despised watching his family break apart like that. He tried to stop his father multiple times but only got beaten more. He was too weak. One day, while his parents were at work, Neon always ventured out, away from home to find a place to stay at to escape his father. He found a small underground area. As he continued to explore, he found a whole underground bunker where innocent people gathered up to survive the dangerous streets full of violent people. He ran home, excited to bring the great news home. As he ran, he bumped into someone; knocking them down. He quickly apologized but was distracted by something bright on the floor that the stranger has dropped. It was a ticket to leave the district; out into safety, away from here. It was a train ticket for 3 people. He grabbed the ticket without even thinking of giving it back and sprinted home. He told everyone this is their chance to escape. Before his father could come home, he helped everyone pack their things. His mother tried to get him to swap places so Neon could escape instead of her, but he insisted that she would go. They packed their stuff and went to the train station. As the train arrived, Neon said his last, painful goodbye to his beloved family. After what seemed like hours of crying after the family departed, he toughened up because he knew, someone was still waiting back home. Before being able to reach his house, he gets slammed into a wall by a stranger screaming at him asking "Where are they?!" He knew that voice. "They left. They left the district. They're going there right this moment." Before he could finish his sentence, he got a pound in the face. As Neon looked up at his father, he thought to himself of all the years of abuse he brought upon his family. He was so sick looking at his face as the father was clearly drunk again. Without a second thought, Neon lashed out at his father, beating him to death. He didn't realize what he was doing until it was too late. Neon panicked and brought his father to the bunker he found before. He begged everyone there to help. This created a lot of noise. People ended up finding the bunker. One of those people, were the leader's workers. They called themselves the Shocho. The Shocho were looking for that bunker for years. They knew people there were hiding, and they never liked respecting people's privacy. They needed to know everything that was going on in the district. As they realized this was the bunker, they sent in guards and destroyed it. They killed everyone they could get in that bunker and captured the rest to put to prison. Neon escaped by hiding in what was left of the bunker. As he sat there for what felt like days. He finally had the courage to leave his hiding spot. He was in absolute shock. It seemed like the bunker never existed. Everything was destroyed. The chairs and tables were broken, the fire that kept everyone warm spread throughout the area, leaving ashes behind and bodies and the blood of everyone Neon ever knew, right there in front of him. The Shocho had no mercy. They killed parents, elderly, and even children and toddlers. Neon ran out, not wanting to be anywhere near the place. As he crawled out of the bunker, he saw the Shocho patrolling the area and killing anyone who stepped near. Neon stayed in the bunker for a few weeks, waiting for the Shocho to leave. As he waited in that hell hole, he decided that it was enough of seeing those innocent people lie there. He tidied everything up and buried those people. He got new chairs, tables, beds and food. He restored the bunker. After a few weeks of waiting, he could finally crawl out of the bunker. Neon was so numb after what happened in so little time. He wanted something new. He wanted something that would distract him from this place. One day, as he was stealing food and items, he bumped into someone who later became Neon's best friend. They learned a lot about each other and they had a lot in common with their lives. His friend, Rex, showed Neon how to hack and code. He also showed Neon how to create his own little inventions. As Rex and Neon grew closer, Rex finally opened up and showed Neon the place he stayed at with his friends, now called his family. The place was tiny and could only fit around 6 people in comfortably. Neon, wanting to help and get a new start for the bunker, told Rex he could get everyone there. They sneaked out and Neon showed the place to everyone. As years passed, Neon got more knowledge on hacking, coding and inventing his own gadgets. He ended up creating goggles which he could do many amazing things with. He created an earring that could glow, he added a glowing N to his shoes and added his glowing name on his hoodie. He knew he could be easily seen by wearing those, so he decided to make those glowing pieces stop glowing by using his goggles. Neon is happy with where he is now. His only wish now, is to find a way to escape and to finally be reunited with his family.

The guards know about him and what he's done (hacking, stealing etc.) and will not let him escape as easily as others. Neon has anger issues and can sometimes lash out at people if they irritate him even in the slightest. He also absolutely despises the district, but is forced to stay. He is the leader of his little bunker community, but he's almost never there; so Rex takes over instead. He very, very rarely takes off his goggles.
