I like this one a lot, Michael - it comes back to optical properties in that the brain has to think twice about what it is seeing. I did not initially perceive the face, but an abstract object giving a view of a landscape. Then the face appeared, now it dominates, but I can revert back to the other image.

What you say is true of course, it's all about what each of us perceives initially. It's a bit similar to those `3D Stereogram' books you could buy, where you had to stare at an image until your brain (hopefully!) managed to perceive the hidden image, remember them? Fascinating stuff, kept me quiet for hours!! Thanks for the

That's it, Michael - the stereogram stuff - that's what has been in the back of my mind. I think these are great, and it is another technique that I need to explore, but no time.
