Yay! My first commission!!!!! :3And I went right to town on it too! Haha. I spent the better part of 4.5 hours doing this I think.
It was a lot of fun, and I'm pleased with how she turned out. I love her pose and her back feet ^_^
Her frong legs look kinda short though... lol I was going for a specific pose with them

You need to raise your prices, pretty thing. Your work is too good to leave your hands so cheaply.
I'm very serious.
This is beautiful work, something someone should be spending AT LEAST $15 if not more. (more like $20-$25) Point commissions are fine and good, I'm not saying you need to sell for cash if you don't want to (although, that would probably be ideal for you) but you should at leas sell for the equivalent, you know? In a nut shell, you're being robbed. Like, obscenely robbed. If you feel no one wants to spend 5oo points on a pic, then maybe you do need to start doing your work for cash instead and leave point commissions for friends or odd projects like sketches, basic concept art, and so on.
As a fellow artist I'm just looking out for you. If you'd like, maybe you and I could have a little pow wow and work out a price chart for you? Hell, if you want I'd make you a new one for free that you could post in your gallery so the public could see it. Let me know, sweetheart.

I definitely need to raise the prices because I don't want to sell myself short, but like ~Temhar said, I don't have a huge fanbase and Im not used to putting prices on my art.
And also to me, it feels like of I put a big price on my art then that's all it's going to be. I'll be thinking of the points/money I'll be getting and not the satisfaction of the commissioner thanking me and appreciating what I've done.
Ill keep the super cheap prices until the end date that's on my info [link] amd then I'll raise them to a more realistic price (perhaps we could do the lil pow pow thing you talked about so I can get my prices straightened out)
I might set up a PayPal so I can do commishes for real money, but I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, not yet at least ^_^

Well, if it makes you feel any better I still do my commissions for the satisfaction of the customer. My art represents my name, and if I produce crap, my name will be tarnished as well regardless of the money that I may or may not earn in the process. So as long as you don't go in with the mindset that it's all about the money, then it won't be. And by the kind of person that I have observed you to be, that will never become an issue for you. I promise.
Also, for realistic comparisons, I don't have a huge fanbase either, lol. I WISH I did! Oh man, I'd love that. My prices would be higher, most likely, were that the case.
But yeah, you do whatever you need to do to be comfortable. I'm not saying you absolutely have to do this. I'm just saying... You're worth more than you lead people to believe by what you ask for in return for your skill. I think you deserve better than what you're asking for.
As far as paypal, you might want to set one up whether you do cash commissions or not. It's free, easy to make and you don't even need a bank account to have one. I use mine for commissions, but also to buy shit off of ebay, lol. But yes, if you want to discuss I'd be more than happy to. Just shoot me a note whenever and we'll talk, if you want.

Aww thanks again for believing that my skills are worth much x3 but yeah, I think I'll keep my word and keep the cheapo prices until the date I had set and then fix them, it can be one of those one time things

Yes, and that's logic I can understand. But even though I keep my prices low, I understand that my art is good enough to have a limit on how cheap it is. Even if she wants to stay cheap, which I completely get, she doesn't need to be selling herself short, which is exactly what she's doing. That's all I'm worried about for her. She's really good at what she does; she should take more pride in her work. If she doesn't, people will notice, and then for what reason should they respect her as an artist if they know they can get her work so easily? You know? That's all I mean. She's great. So she should sell her work accordingly, but still within reason.

yes true. Idk. also, I saw that about point commishes. unfortunately points are next to useless as it is, what with the only real worthy thing buyable with points is a premium... I can understand keeping those on the downlow. since a dollar = 100 points I believe.... so yea... >.>

Yeah, that's why I brought that point up. Points are cool if you want the merch or, as you said, a premium. But cash is more useful. I mean shit, Gabrielle and I paid for some of our cat's surgery with commission money. That's pretty useful shit right there.
And yeah, I think you're right about the equivalent exchange between points and money. So Porcelain is really, REALLY cheating herself, since she's doing this work for less than one freaking dollar.

but people see the digits "500" for 5$... and think oh god that's alot, when looking at "500".
people see in digits and that's what makes it difficult to do the points selling.
