The, blue hues in this painting are wonderful, and how you blended in the read is splendid, I really like how you did this, except the hair could you some detail. I love the whole aspect of the paint, the pose could be altered, a teeny but its fine. The vision in this painting is splendid. I think that the background could be blended some more, but not to work. Her clothing, could use some more folds, I think. And also that you did a great job on her skin tones, you blended each object into the backgorund in it's own way.

Ah! What an astounding piece!Such beauty!Depth!Elegance!Bless this artwork! :'D
*coughs* Ahem.Let's get real serious this time.
This is just...SUPERB,I mean wow.
Every single detail is really perfect. You used a lot of colors, which makes it really colorful~ I love how you drew her hair, dress, umbrella, everything.
Her outfit's very well drawn,gosh.
The background looks wonderful,it fits perfectly .♥
Speaking of which, the background kinda reminds me of Haychel's works, they look quite identical!
You used just the right amount of shading and contrasting,very well done! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>
I am so in live with this now.
I would love to see more of your works like this in the future!~
Nonetheless,a job well done!

Cheers for the comments!
I would have to disagree with you on some of it though.
The subject should be more detailed than the background - not necessarily! lack of details is just one of the techniques used to impart a depth of field. I would argue that by using broader strokes on the background and finer workings on the subject, there is enough of a distinction.
Same with the blurring idea. I have used that extensively in my previous paintings, this is just a departure into somewhat more post-impressionism (albeit a rather half-hearted attempt, I agree. Look out for my next piece!)
The idea I wanted to play with in this piece was mainly the play of colours. Its a study in working with colour theories and playing with different hues to create focus.

Alright, i'm nervous about writing a critique on such a perfect piece of work, but lets begin.
First of all, i:d like to inform you that my phone is being used to type this and so if ant larger or small mistakes are notiable in my grammar, I apologize. My phone glitches out a lot. XD
I absolutely love the blending style here, and the way you add lighter and or darker colors into the picture gives it an almost Purplekecleon look to it. It reminds me of her coloring style, in a good way.
I love the detail, but the umbrella really catched my eye. Almost making it the complete enter of attention, probably due to the darker colors surrounding it. I don't know if this really was your intention.
Maybe some darker colors near the middle of the umbrella or even a darker shaade of red tto suit the dark color scheme would work better.
I hope you find my critique fair and helpful, and sorry that i can' go back to fix typos because my phone is being awful. The "catched" I wrote up there really bothers m,e, it was suppsed to be catches.

first of all, excellent excellent excellent color scheme <3 <3 i'm in love! that blue background is so calming, and then suddenly there's this bright pop of red. i absolutely love the contrast, it makes the entire picture have a bold feeling to it :3
that face. that expression. xD beautifulll, i really love it e.deviantart.net/emoticons/e/e… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="377" title=" (Eek)"/> you captured the feeling perfectly! i love your detail on the lips, and how you added a reflective light on her skin from the red e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>
i'm in love with how you managed to make it look somewhat like it was raining, even though you didn't add a lot of detail to the rain at all. some people may not like your somewhat messy style, but i really love it alot :3 (sorry, contrasting the other person's critique xD)
the one thing i'm not a huge fan of is the bottom background, i dont really like how stark the transition is between the brighter blue and the darker blue?
also, you have hexagon shapes on the middle and bottom of the iamge, but none as the brighter blue transitions into the darker blue on the top of the picture, do you know what i mean? xD
overall, absolutely gorgeous piece leaving me thinking 'wow'. again, i love the contrast between the red and the blue, your style, and basically everything! keep up the amazing work!

Thanks for the comments!
I never specified it as rain. In fact, the whole point and scope of the composition is left open to the viewer to draw whatever conclusions they might.
As for the umbrella, thats the primary light source in the picture, take that how you will.
