Shocked as I still am, I managed to successfully draw something the Professor Layton style, which I never thought I could!

As some of you may know, it's extremely difficult for me to draw in any other style than my own without having to constantly look at references (which I did here). I can only draw, well... the way I draw, and so I'm pretty sure a lot of elements from my style is in this picture as well. It's a good thing to have an original style, of course, but it's also a bit annoying at times that I can't experiment with different varieties.

This was a huge struggle for me to pull off, but at the same time it became more fun the more I noticed how well I was doing. I admit it was really straining for me not being able to shade anything. I tried to keep it as close to the Professor Layton style as possible, and the shading I tried putting in just looked wrong.

As for the character, her name is Flora. I don't like her as a character, but I LOVE her design - I mean, she's so incredibly adorable!! <3 It's just too bad she has no personality. She's more like a girl before she's a character, which I hate. Sure a girl's supposed to be a girl, but I'd like to think of them as characters/people FIRST, like I do with real people. To me, she was just a damsel in distress who never said anything of interest that would suggest she had a personality.

The only thing I like about her is how she thinks she's incognito by putting on a cloth over her head and some glasses. That's cute.

Oh well, I hope you like this despite it not being in my original style.
