Drawing of Emma Watson. Thanks to r/IDAP and r/drawing to help me do some touch ups and being motivating as always.It took around 20-30 hours. Feel free to ask any questions!
11 by 14 on 300 series strathmore smooth paper. Mostly 4b and mechanical pencil. Smudgestick, tissue paper, kneaded eraser for various features.

I do have a question for you, have you ever had the problem of drawing heads too narrow? Im noticing myself doing this and not catching it until im into the details phase. if you check out my profile under "newer stuff" you will find some emma watson portraits, id love some feedback if your up for it. My goal is something you have accomplished, a portrait which is recognizable. You literally could have titled this "Scarlett Johansson" and people would have doubted you and called you on it. Very inspiring

My name is Katy W. I am working on publishing a book set in the 1940s during ww11 about a character named Elizabeth Whiting; and this drawing of Emma Watson would be perfect as the book cover. I definitely have no luck with scanners and graphite. I am curious as to how you took the picture and what touch ups were done with photoshop. It would be great help.

Hey, I agree scanners and graphite don't go well together since graphite is so reflective. I actually took a photo. The touch ups on photoshop were simply playing with contrast and brightness levels.Β
