Description: The Anomalocaris is a genus of Anomalocaridid arthropod that lived from the Early to middle Cambrian Period, fossils of this ancient animal have been found around the world, with 6 known Anomalocaris species known to science, the first one being discovered and collected in the year 1886. This was one of the very first top predators to ever live on Earth, though some scientists have debated whether or not the Anomalocaris was a predator, there is fossil evidence of Trilobites with round or W-shaped "bite" marks, even though the Anomalocaris didn't have teeth, it used a pair of spiked, flexible appendages at the front of its body to tear at the prey it fed on. More evidence of this lifestyle is shown from fossilized coprolite that is believed to be from the Anomalocaris, these coprolite fossils have remnants of Trilobites inside, but we're still not sure what the coprolite belonged to or whether or not the Anomalocaris did feed on the hard-bodied Trilobites. For a predatory lifestyle, the Anomalocaris evolved very complex compound eyes that are believed by scientists to be 30 times more powerful than the eyes of Trilobites, each eye of the Anomalocaris had an estimated 16,000 lenses, this would have allowed it great eyesight, and some even believe the Anomalocaris had dichromatic color vision, an adaptation perfect for hunting prey.

Personal Thoughts: This animal is an absolute must have for a prehistoric zoo or aquarium, especially since it was featured in Walking With Monsters, it is such an iconic Cambrian animal that it needs to be included. I especially love the modeling and texture detail on this one. I do like it has variants, I'll admit, I'm not a big fan of the bright pink Anomalocaris variant, but I'll let that nitpick slide since it's an extinct animal and we don't know what color it was when it was alive. I also have to say, I like that it uses the default Manta AI and animations, that fits this one perfectly. Plus it has no bugs or glitches, the modeling and textures are very realistic, and it can breed properly. I highly recommend checking this mod out and featuring it in a prehistoric zoo or aquarium.
