Description: The Camarasaurus is a genus of sauropod Dinosaur that lived during the late Jurassic Period in what is now the Morrison Formation of Colorado and Utah, it was one of the many known sauropods from this region, others included Diplodocus, Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and others. While not being as large as the other sauropods of the late Jurassic Morrison Formation, it was very common in its time, its smaller size meant it fed on vegetation that were much lower than the taller plants that the taller sauropods, like Brachiosaurus, would have fed on, reducing the need for competition. The teeth of the Camarasaurus were stronger and more robust that the teeth of other sauropods, this often leads scientists to believe that Camarasaurus may not have needed to swallow gastroliths to aid in digestion like most sauropods do. The first known Camarasurus remains were found during the Bone Wars, a paleontological event that involved the rivalry of paleontologists Edward Cope and Othniel Marsh, one well known paleontological mistake was of the early studies of Brontosaurus, which we now know was its own separate genus, but the old Brontosaurus was actually a mix of different sauropod bones, mostly an Apatosaurus skeleton, but with a Camarasaurus skull where the head is. Fossil evidence leads us to believe that the Camarasaurus traveled in small herds or family groups, as there were 3 Camarasaurus skeletons found together, 2 adults and a 40 foot long juvenile, although herding is very common in sauropods, this discovery is definite proof of herding behavior, travelling to food sources and nesting grounds.

Personal Thoughts: Camarasaurus is one of those dinosaurs you don't see many mods of for Zoo Tycoon 2, I know of 2 other Camarasaurus mods for Zoo Tycoon 2, but this, despite being exactly like the one from Jurassic World Evolution, has to be the best looking Camarasaurus I've ever seen in Zoo Tycoon 2. I don't know if it has new animations or not, but I absolutely love it. This one has no bugs or glitches, the modeling and textures are realistic and are exactly like the original source material it's based on, and let's be real, no Jurassic zoo is complete without a Camarasaurus. I definitely recommend checking it out.
My Rating: 10/10
