For those of you who haven't seen my most recent journal please do so to see all the prizes people were good enough to make for me after winning *zimeta08 s recent contest.

Of particular note is *goldwater s theme song for Professor Fandango which filled me with a new enthusiasm for the chap and got me drawing him again since for the past few months I've just been chipping away at a couple of new robot designs.

So while revamping Prime-15 I sketched this one at the side of the paper and quite liked it so I imported it into Flash, filling in the missing legs and inked and coloured it there. Very convenient but a real cramp on the hand.
The other use for trying it in Flash was because I've recently redrawn and old Fandango/Callisto picture from my gallery (Can you guess which one?) and wanted to see if digital inking would look decent.

I decided against coming up with a background, I've got an idea for some REAL character bios so I might use it there, though it may not be an epitomal image of Fandango.

As for the design I included a couple of elements from other artists interpretation of the character, particularly ~professorhazard s plain shirt.
The other shirt I think was really more to do with the fact that Fandango was more of an "alter-ego" for me at the time and it was becoming a bit of a nuisance to draw anyway because you don't see much of it at any given time. I did also like the blue hat band he included but the black one has become too iconic to me.

And don't fret traders, I have been working on them and they're now all ready to be coloured so expect them in the next week or two.
