Dear Dairy,

The worst possible thing has happened. This storm had been raging for nearly two weeks now. My maintenance team had been extremely busy fixing just about EVERYTHING in the park! Seriously, we had fixed nearly every pipe, circuit, machinery, sign, and support structure exposed to the elements in this park. The Manager's cheapness is costing the park more than if he had bought the proper expensive materials in the first place! The Manager had taken notice of it too...and he wasn't happy...

Today, a section of the T. rex's enclosure had a tree fall over the fence and crumpled it like it was paper and string. The animal handlers attempted to lure the T. rex away from the break in the fence by piling up a day's worth of food at the other side of the paddock while we fixed the fence. We had just finished replacing the columns and were about to set up the steel cables when the Manager came to the site. Apparently he had been trying to call us, but the communications were down across the island. And apparently he was very pissed at me for "not doing my job". He thought that the reason everything was being replaced was that I hadn't properly maintained them in the first place, and not his choice of materials ! I was furious! Even now it makes me so mad! Even after what happened next...

The Manager and I were in the middle of a heated argument when Jimmy gave out a scream. We all turned to look in the direction of what Jimmy was staring at...and HE was there! The T.rex. His snout peeked out from between the trees on the other side of the fence. He came forward, putting a clawed foot out beyond the fence and gave a terrifying roar! At that, everyone immediately ran. Those near the trucks
and construction vehicles took off in them, leaving the rest of us behind. The others either chased after them in a vain attempt to try to jump on, or ran blindly into the jungle to try to escape. I was among the latter.

I don't know how long I kept running. Hearing the crack of thunder, the screams of the members of my companion, the padding & splashing of their feet on the soaked ground, the deeper, the deeper, rhythmic crashing of the tyrannosaur's feet as it chased us through the dark jungle. I remember looking back once...and seeing the Manager running behind me, while waving his arms and looking back as well. Thinking back on it, I think the idiot may have been trying to shoo it away, as if he could command it to go away. But then I saw the T. rex's terrifying teeth and cold eyes...I couldn't stand it, and ran even harder than I ever had before. Faster than I thought I ever could. Suddenly the ground gave out beneath me and I found myself tumbling down a muddy slope and landed face first into a small stream at the bottom.

I don't know how long I laid there...letting the cold, shallow water trickle around me. Too afraid to move even after I heard the T. rex's footsteps die away. I listened for any sound or call from any of my companions, but I think the rex may have either continued chasing them...or...

I finally pulled myself out of the water, soaked, shaken and chilled to the bone. But still alive. I managed to finally find one of the bunker-like storage sheds and locked myself inside. As I write this, I wonder what happened to everyone. Did the ones I was running with get out okay? I can say one thing though: if I every see that cheapass of a park manager again, it won't be the T. rex he will have to worry about...
