Description
Due to lack of reinforcements, the September 30 command entered directive: "Bravely and honestly fulfilled its task, fighters and commanders of Odessa Defense District need to evacuate troops in the shortest possible time on the Crimean peninsula". The occupation of the city of Odessa by German-Romanian aggressors lasted long 907 days and was finally broken April 10, 1944 by Soviet troops.
