Description
This is actually the third revision of a draft I submitted to the Character Design Challenge on Facebook, said revisions being recommended by a good colleague of mine.

With this character, I went with the idea of a superhero that was also a legitimate mermaid (as opposed to Aquaman, who is simply a guy who can survive underwater). As you can tell, I haven't come up with a name for her just yet, but I have something of a backstory; when aquatic villains manage to at least partially submerge an island city/crash a cruise ship onto an uncharted island chain, she rebels against her own kind and vows to protect the survivors.

For those of you who follow my fanfiction "Shadow in the Water", you have the additional option of making her Batman and Ariel's future daughter your headcanon.

EDIT: 5/15/2016 Beefed up the tail to match the upper torso.

EDIT: 5/19/2016: Added some fish and bubbles for ambiance.
