A couple of months back I bought the 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' series and both the movies on ten DVDs. I had been meaning to see the whole series forever, as I had only ever seen the odd episode on the cartoon network.
........I said that I'd do a NGE fanart, and I finaly finished it! I think I managed a pretty good likeness of Asuka (my favourite), but this was my third try. I tried to capture her defiant,aggressive attitude.
well, any NGE fans, let me know what you think.. and anybody who has no idea what I'm talking about, WATCH NEON GENESIS EVANGELION! Its awesome!

NGE to me is by far the best form of any type of media of all time. I love the expression because you capture her perfectly, and the drawing looks like something right from Hideaki himself. Outstanding work.

Aw thanks. I am a colourist by profession afterall, but the fact that you like her waist makes my day. I rubbed it out a few times trying to get it right. If I'd screwed it up Asuka would've kicked my arse!

Wow... Nice... Did you make up that pose? You did a great job with it, I find impossible sexy poses so hard to draw. Very nice gun, the only thing I have to say about it is the nose and mouth dont quite line up. Other than that, killer pic.

Yeah, I drew Asuka's bod, but this was a third try, the first two didn't realy look like her. And thats the whole point right? I maybe made her figure a little fuller than on the series, (especialy her thighs) but thats just force of habit I guess.
.....about the mouth, I was trying to give her a snarl, with one side raised higher than the other. It always seems like a good idea at the time..

I think it looks better your way. Skin and bones just isnt healthy. And yeah its supposed to look like her, but I think its okay to put your own spin on it. Shake things up a little. I completely understand about the mouth. A lot of things seem like a good idea at the time. The mouth doesnt look bad, just a little funny. This is a really good pic.
