Description
One of the two Z-series Gundam-Class mobile suits, the Zeta Airios is capable of converting between a high-speed interceptor and a multi-purpose assault mobile suit. The Zeta program was created to counter the increasing threat of NeoEarth RX-2 suits, also capable of geometry conversion.
Unlike most mobile suits (designed in Project Zephyr), the Airios wields an experimental beam weapon that accelerate ionized hydrogen through a modified mass driver. While the beam cannon does eliminate the need to carry convensional ammunition and save weight, the Gauss Capacitor recharge delay requires that the pilot make every shot count.
