I've definitely stumbled across this picture at clubrsx at one point in time, nice photo.

Thanks! Canon T2i with a 50mm f1.4. It is a multi-image stitch though which when the images are combined gives it a wider lens look. This one has about 12 images making up this composition.

Thanks.

Part of it has to do with the lens I used. So the 50mm f1.4 means that when the aperture is at 1.4 (wide open) the range of what is in focus is small and what is not in focus is blurry - great depth of field. If the aperture is closed the range of focus still applies but what is not in focus is sharper. No matter the lens tho, the lower the f-stop number means the more blurry the out-of-focus parts will be.

The other part is to get the wide angle here, i took i think about 10 shots for this composition. Starting with the entire car filling the frame, the my next shot was to the left, yet still leaving part of the last frame that would overlap. I just rotated my camera and took shots while imagining how I would stitch them together to get a wider view. Sort of how you would take a panoramic shot and combine those together, same thing here. Only not with a wide lens, but a lens that gives a good amount of depth of field. Doing this will get you great depth of field plus the wide angle look (providing the stitch comes out good).

Lastly, if you do the photo stitching, I used Photoshop CS5's Automated photo stitching tool. BUT some manual work was required because, of course it's not near perfect at stitching photos haha. Part of the sky was missing (my mistake of not taking shots of that area, so when it stitched it it left that blank), so I had to add that, and it also messed up some of the trees pretty bad so that had to be fixed as well. In fact, I even moved the entire car over about 3 feet to the right to avoid such a wide crop on the photo.

Hope this can help. Let me know if you have any questions.
