Off the Subject, but see that Tall slide there in the photography... I got 3rd degree burns from it on my butt when I was 2 years old.... This was before all slides were required to have plastic Coating....

I got stuck on it too.

High Definition Recorder? (What's an HDR?)

The foreground, for certain reasons, have this rather 3D-computer-rendered look. There's a kind of darkness/shadow in the front... (would be good for a horror movie, haha).

Check out the info on HDR below. I am going to post few more HDR shots in couple of days.

I'm still kinda confused about the whole HDR thing... what exactly is it? Thanks a bunch.

(Interesting, and strangely creepy photo. The foreground is haunting and the background is happy. )

Yes, it does look a bit creepy. But I kinda like that effect.

HDR is high dynamic range. It means taking shots at different exposures and then merging the shots using a program like photomatix. The purpose of HDR is to represent wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows. More info at [link]

It is fun when you get it right. Search for HDR on DA and you will find a lot of beautiful shots.
