Description (copypasta from my cosplay.com account)

I think the hardest part about this costume was actually what fabric to pick. Elizabeth's outfit differs slightly everywhere I see her but I was very inspired by the poster art, namely the one where Booker is behind her holding the handcannon and she looks mid-spin. I tried to emulate that mostly in the jacket.

Actually, I made the first jacket and skirt out of tafeta satin and then I was like "oh god what did i do" so I ran back out and decided to look a little harder LOL The jacket you see now, however, was sewn from velour. I altered the collar and hem length of a simplicity bolero pattern with gathered sleeves. It's also fully lined, woohoo! The collar is interfaced, as are the cuffs which were sewn from wedding satin. The buttons are navy blue, quarter sized and had to be hand sewn on.

I followed a quick circle tutorial for the skirt. It was made from the same velour used for the jacket (of course), with some cotton and store-bought trim used for the slip underneath. The skirt has an invisible zipper that I installed in the side.

My brooch is the cage (because I'm somber as hell), which I purchased from the wonderful leagueofshadows on Etsy. The choker itself is just some lace I purchased from Joann's, serged and handsewn with hook and eyes.

I'd love to replace the body of the choker and the corset eventually, the latter of which being purchased from an online retailer. I added the black lines (a velvet trim), the lace and replaced the modesty panel with some left over lining from my jacket. I tried to do as much as I could until my sewing machine crapped out on me the night before ACen--no surprise there. I'd absolutely love to learn how to make my own corset though.

I'd aaaaalso like to replace my shoes in the future because they're boring and completely wrong. But hey that's what happens when you're on a budget.

Also, a skyhook. Damn I really want one of those.

this is a great job!
I'm trying to create my own Elizabeth cosplay at the moment and I'm struggling with the jacket, I was wondering if you could give me some pointers as I'm not experienced enough to just alter a pattern.
Thank you!
