Description so lemme tell you a story, kids! my computer died on me and is in the shop waiting to be fixed. until then I'm left on an older machine that doesn't like large files, so I haven't been drawing much. my scanner also got fried in the incident, so I'm without one of those too. and so I have to draw tiny. like this for example? done at 72 DPI. /winces

my muse, Faye Valentine. done in about 2 hours, PSCS2. slight ref for the pose

Cowboy Bebop (c) not me

What's so amazing about this is that you've really captured the look of Fay's character from the extremely two dimensional, flat toned anime, to this much more realistic style. Bravo!

Maybe it's the hair or I'm not up good, but she looks very much like Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop.

I like the sharpness of the colors in this! THe reds and pinks are clear seperate. The way she is posed and is looking says a lot about her character! Good work!

Do you use a special brush to ge the painted effect?

I usually use spackled brushes or brushes with a little texture ... the one I did this with was called "Oil Heavy Flow Dry Edges" and I believe it's in the default set on PS brushes. the spackle brushes are in the "natural brushes" set

Cool! I usually use the plain circle ones and go crazy with shading and smudging. I'll try it with those brushes too!

It's like watching an old person drive a Porsche...it's just saddening!!

But the trade off is my amazing laptop for a few moments of tablet time...which I promised him I'll never do...power struggle of doom!

Nice! Bamboo's are awesome, but the Inutos is amazing! They always say they are good for something, but then people use them for something more awesome
