i'm trying to learn Maya 2011, but am only done with modelling, and a bit of rigging 
besides all that i think i'm pretty good with Photoshop, ProE and AutoCad, but still it kinda is frustrating that they're not animation :/

since i taught my self max...its the easiest one i fond...
though i havent done much animation in it...but my mother has...she is really good at Max and Corel draw...
and btw you can do the modeling in cad and then import the dile in max n just do the animation there...
thats what i used to before learning modeling in max...

max looks a bit overwhelming for me , with all those tiny buttons and ribbon menus everywhere
autocad can't create a human figure or i'd have tried that
it's quite a feat that you taught yourself such a complex software.

i had to...it was a requirement...
n it was that big a deal...tutorials and things are all available these days...
plus i had help from my mum...so..no big deal there...

it's still tough though

no...she's not a grafic designer...just very talented at alot of things...
