Well, Santa Claus/Ded Moroz was a person who was connected with the church and gave gifts to poor children and then was canonized (in other country and in Europe they were different people! ha), am I right?

Firstly Ded Moroz (Grandpa Frost) was an evil spirit to whom people give gifts. If you have no gift for him, you have a chanse to be frozen this winter. Dead Moroz, ha.
