Description Another piece for "operation: no money". Been really working on keeping the initial feel of my original sketches throughout the piece. I also hit this puppy up on Painter X. Something which I have never successfully been able to accomplish before. Overall, I'm very happy with this one.
Thanks for stopping!
God Bless!

I like the comp and the sense of movement! it really stood out to me. my critique would be to add a secondary light source. that would really pop this piece out. If you used orange light coming from behind her that would be great! hmm..im not sure what she's holding...it's not defined. it kind of looks like a key maybe? definitely add more detail to that and the hand holding it. I like the expression on her face and the creatures mouth at the top. also the painting is a bit flat because it has the same value throughout. if you darken the creatures closest to us and lighten the ones farthest that would add a sense of depth that this painting is missing. This could really make a great magic card! you have a lot of potential and I'm sure that I'll see your work published one day!!

Thanks again!
My intentions for the object was to add that sense of mystery, forcing the viewer to ask what it might be, or to incline what it's uses are. Although a little more defined may not ruin the intent, so I'll log that away for later.

Good call on the depth, that is something I hadn't noticed till now. Fresh set of eyes is always nice. Thanks for the Critique!

Splendid. I can see the depth here although a little contrast would be nice, to emphasize the white thing he's holding.

I'm kind of confused here, which is the focus: the guy, or the thing he's holding?

.... lol, she's a she, but that's what I get for shying away from the typical porcelain features.

The focus, honestly, is both.

I wanted the object to be the main light source, and also create interest since it is not really defined. The women, plays off of that focus/intrigue, hence the glowing eyes and the confident smirk. While the seemingly overwhelming opposition was to frame the two in.

Oh geeze. My apologies

Well, that's interesting because my eyes were drawn to the woman then the to the light. I guess you did a good job there, great composition!

No apologies needed,
That is the beauty of being individuals, we all see things differently. My work can always use a good critique. In fact, that mention got me to be a little more mindful for my next piece as far as focal points go.
