Description
A long wait is finally over, and finally with the rise of 2020, the cortail myo event is here - again!
Cortails are a blind, scentless and deaf species that rely on their antennae to find there way around and hunt. Make no mistake though, they can be... DEADLY!
There are four subspecies: Masked; Quadra; Slidertha; and the very deadly and dangerous insectis...

RULES

1 MYO slot per person
You cannot sell your MYO slot BUT you can trade - same applies to the output design
If you comment/join the myo before it ends, you will have enough time to design your cortail as ALL MYO SLOTS EXPIRE ON MARCH THE 30TH
Yes you can commission someone to design the cortail for you

Original species
A lot of members on DA have created original species, and you may have noticed some of the popular ones such as imps, jolleraptors, esks, etc. Usually... with most species you need permission to create one, some you don't, some you may only be able to achieve via adopts etc.
first I'll explain MYO slots and MYO events so it's not too confusing
MYO THINGIES
MYO meaning - MYO is an abbreviation that stands for 'make your own'. MYO slots are common with closed species as I will explain below. Depending on the species, they also can have a rarity alongside such as common, uncommon, rare, etc. So a common MYO slot mean you can only use the common traits on your species myo.
Myo slots - Oh wait... did I just explain it above? Well... A myo slot is just one myo slot where you can use that myo slot to make your species character. So you have a myo slot and want to make a white-striped black design of a species such as my faeraptors (note: some species don't allow random designs, or want you to base it off some etc.) you use the myo slot you have.
Myo events - MYO events such as this cortail one, is where you can go to usually get free myo slots (though some I have noticed aren't free myos, IT all depends on the species and the set up the owner or admins have decided). USually, you must share the event and join the group then comment to get the myo slot. There will be all the info you need to know in the event, in this one it's a gamma myo slot that's available (A RARE MYO SLOT) BUT you can do things such as tag people and fav the deviation if you want 1-3 epic/beta traits.
Other ways myo slots are obtained - I can't list all the ways as my brain will forget and there's many possibilities. The first is via a MYO event, the next is via some sort of shop, raffles, contests, free gifts from the admin (...) trades, etc.
Different kinds of species availability
Open species - These are species where you don't need to go up to someone for permission to create
Semi open species - You need to usually go for approval after creating your myo slot (Luris for example are semi open atm)
Semi closed species - You need permission to create one
Note: Semi closed and open confuses me but they are VERY similar
Closed species - You always need some sort of permission, such as a myo slot to create your eg. jolleraptor... or should I say cortail since... XD

wow buddy its sounds so cool! hey buddy i forgot to ask you something i did some pictures of skylar and i was going to do some pictures of neon but was i suposed to ask permission to draw them i wanted to lern how to draw skylar becalse hes so amazeing and neon is the coolest alian horse i have ever seen and i wanted to draw them is it okay i did that?

By adopting Skylar, you receive the rights of owning him, drawing him, commissioning artworks of him, writing about him, etc. Just like a character you create, though the required things are that I'm credited for the original design, that the design is not reproduced (except, as the founder and designer of the species and skylar, I allow you to do luris breedables IF the owner and/or designer of the other luris is okay with it, just while the species is semi open.), and that you do not steal the species.
The same applies for neon, though as he is not a species... it's a bit different. It wasn't a species concept either so, if you wanted to make another of the same species as neon, you'd have to check with me.
