I guess... but it reminds me of horse art XXD
It's needs to have a similar... moist-look to these
except a little bit less wet due to being a hybrid (Though this species dominates some facial features, the crest, the eyes.... and ears. She also has human but it mostly shows through the skin colour. Then there is artectmen - original species of mine - that takes up the quills, and ALSO the eyes, the tail, and well... limbs. Some tall grey made it into the mix, which well... I guess the hands are more related, due to having four fingers unlike the others which have three or five. And finally, wolf... this makes the back feet look.... a bit wolfy.). Hmm... did I over do it again? I did didn't I?

I think (and I'll have to look closer) if you want it closer to this, your probably needing some sharper highlights.

Basically the shading is fine in terms of, "where" but to give a glossier view, you need harsher highlights showing up. Same location, just closer to white white, and tighter...

So a bit more like this?
( I think I overdid it XD)

I'd say a bit overdone, but more like that, I'd go a bit more quickly going from bright highlight, to neutral/near neutral. So more shrinking the areas of the high level of highlight.

I was feeling a little weird about the wording. The "brightness" of the highlights seems quite good, but to me they are too large. At least they are too large at the light end, you want a sharper curve from bright to basically the "point" where it goes from highlight to shadow.

Yeah, I think that's getting a lot closer. What are you thinking?

I'm thinking: I can't stand this XD I might as well update it though.... It looks... a bit better... Should I soften the lighting though? It looks too sharp

I think often there is only so far we can go with a given drawing, before it makes more sense to just redo it.

So... no more? (still thinking and not liking... Maybe I should cut down how... 'wet' the skin is... Hmm...)

I was feeling it needed to be re-worked from the ground up, not sure why. I guess I was feeling (at least for me) that I couldn't figure out how to take it further...

I think it's coming along nicely. But maybe it's time to step back, and go to other stuff for a while, and come back to this in a bit.
