So you may have noticed a trend in my depictions of the Puella Magi...I've been drawing them at what I believe was their toughest moment, or rock bottom...man I'm so mean. Most people seem to draw Mami when she was getting her head omnomnom'd by Charlotte, but to me her critical moment was when she learned the truth and had a complete break down, to the point where she turned on the other girls. We don't see it in the anime, but this picture is showing what I think she would have done if she had succeeded at killing Homura and Madoka--suicide. She was that distraught--can you imagine? She was willing to shoot her own soul gem before letting it turn into a grief seed or later, a witch. Poor Mami

Amazing piece however I would have to disagree with you slightly. She was not that distraught as she plans how she's going to get rid of the magical girls. Killing Kyoko (who has a quick reaction speed), stopping Homura from moving (so she can't change time) and then leaving madoka until last. I have no idea if that makes her more or less distraught, but was able to plan how she was going to do this. Anyway, awesome picture and I agree with the toughest moment. Great job!

Thanks! I don't think distraught implies an inability to plan, but yes, she certainly was smart in how she took them out. I feel like she was taking them out in order of attachment too, because I think she would have hesitated even more before killing Madoka.

I tend to do that when I make fan works. It shows more of the character that way.

Haha yea, this is the actual full version...the details one was just so people could see Mami up close. I find that big pictures don't show well over the internet >.< Thanks for faving both!
