I really like sketch line haha
I know a full illustration is probably better without them, but still it feels more natural and in the end as good as if you tried to make all shadow, lights and trying to stay in line.. 
and the use of saturated color, whit a touch of lighting! (that's whats make this piece ^^)
anyway that's my kind of drawing hahah

well I would say it is true!
Most people who are still learning how to make full render illustration do better sketches  x)
same for me onlly my recent full render brings my drawing a step foward ^^
