Because Sulu is a little shit. And likes the RPS fandom about his commanding trio too much. Or he's just an asshole. Or both.
It's funny to do these kind of things. Frustrating, because there aren't HQ pics of the Enterprise bridge, so I'm left with medium to low quality or screencap to reconstruct, but yeah.
The quality of the pic shared by Karl Urban isn't the best: I did what I could. At least, with this kind of low quality, you don't see that the bridge pic I used as background isn't HQ either.
