This has got to be the most amazing, awe-inspiring piece I've seen in this category thus far. Scenes like these I can't ever hope to see, but burn bright in my imagination. I'm so grateful that someone with enough talent and creativity made it materialize into something more. I especially like the top half, but the entire piece as a whole is outstanding.
There's nothing else I can say to express how beautiful this is to me.

Wow dude, this picture rocks! totally! +fav for sure!
One thing though, have you made a spelling mistake in the title's shadow? The real text says violent splendor and the dropshadow text says violent splender. Was that done on purpose?

Very well done I must say. The city lights on the planet came out great. The ring effectc on the other planet also look great. the only thing I seem to ahve a problem with is the three ships. I think it's my computer, but they came out wicked blurry.
Other than that the whole things looks really nice. Good job and kep up the good work.

Heh, our pieces do look fairly similiar, i like this, one thing i noticed is the ships, it seems no-one has done anything but them blasting off so far-maybe something different would be cool.

the starfield is brilliant, lots fo depth, and the space dust rocks. the difference in strength, and the colour make it very auroura like. the orange/brown planets have a nice cloud texture, but they look a lil similar... i think as they're so small you could add a lil more obvious contrasts on the surface, as they look very much like gas with clouds. on the rings i think the dust could be thinned, or the asteroids moved behind, it looks a bit cut n paste, and your too good for that. the lightning is very sharp compared to the blurred photo, and that's good, it really works for me. the blending from space to earth is pretty much perfect. it brings out some new colours, which add to the piece. even your brushwork around the photo mathces the blurriness, and looks almost painted, which again adds to this piece.
you may not think it was particularly difficult, but the way all these elements were put together and the artisticness behind this piece makes it particularly special.

I really like the over all layout aspects to this. The planets are all layed out nicely and the space also looks really good. DEtail is incredible, excellent job with the space debry etc, and the lightning is a great adition to this. on thing I can't stand in this is the lighting on the planets. It looks awful, you messed up on this one man. Mainly the small orange planet and the large blue. The large blue should be revieving a bit of light from that flare right above it. Other than these this is a great piece, excellent work man.

I like the blue dust part but it does look kinda odd even if it is just to fill the void. The rings planets abd all are nicely done.

nice pic... i noticed you dont take critisms that great so i wont bag it out ok. i'll only say that the space dust looks awesome that works well and the atmos clouds are blended into the space well... however i noticed that light sources seem to be coming from all over the place and it hits on planets wrong... me thinx neway... also those little space ships or whatever they are look really tacky n i reckon they should be taken out. oh btw... very nice asteroids!

The proper light source was originally coming from the photo on the botton left side. The other stars you see around the picture are not supposed to be bright enough to project light on the planets if that helps.
