Haha. Those actually ARE all ladybugs, just different varieties. They look like Harmonia axyridis, Asian multicoloured ladybugs (~glowcat was sort-of correct -- they're also called Harlequin ladybirds; he/she just linked to a site about the wrong species of insect with a similar name).
Unlike your standard variety of ladybug beetle, the Asian multicoloureds are quite "dumb", and more pests than anything else. We've got a lot of them here, unfortunately. ): They're known for moving into houses, especially in the autumn, and living off things in there, instead of cleaning up the garden pests.
